Hyper Tough 26cc 2-Cycle Gas 17 in Curved Shaft String Trimmer

good price for a gas trimmer, no reason they should cost more than $100. it offers good power for the price point. my name brand electric one died and didn't have near the power of this Hyper Tough one. easy assembly had it ready to go under 10 minutes. comes with a small bottle of oil and some string refill.

I am picky about my products, I always do a decent amount of research before I purchase! I am pleased with this string trimmer! Hyper Tough continues to be all I need for home and yard work! Right out of the box, assembly was easy, add the mixture and take off. Started up without any hassle!

Some reviews on the product I thought were overly negative I felt that it was heavy but in a sturdy way and well balanced. It started easily and runs very well. I also noticed a professional service next door using one. If it's good enough for them and every day use I feel confident with my purchase

I didn't buy this for use as a string trimmer. I needed to replace my old attachment capable power head. This is perfect for that and has all the power and ease of use I wanted. And it costs half what it would have cost to repair my old power head.

I've been using this for prairie restoration work. I use it to cut through thick grass and invasive plants. It works very well. For the money I would give this six stars if I could. I've only used it for a couple of weeks but it really does the job. It will cut right through thistle, younger honeysuckles, and thick grasses. You have to watch the reel. It can happen once in a while that you lose your trim string. That is, it just disappears. Then you have to open the reel and restring it. Watch a Youtube video on how to do that. I bought two. My friend and I use it with great success.

I've had one of these for five years, the weed eaters string would last cutting around everything, trees, houses, sheds, pavement, and the perimeter inside and outside of fencing. ONE head of string would last the entire yard and I'd have leftover, one tank of gas would last as well. But I wouldn't use 90 line, I'd use 80. The weight of thing weed eater is perfect for women or people with reduced energy or ability. Walmart is going electric in stores so I suggest you find what you can in store and toss it in your attic until you may need it one day. I know I did. Fantastic weed eater if you're not in a terrible hurry or the type of person who wants to use the motor to its capacity.

I ordered in the morning and it arrived the same day by mid afternoon. Overall it's a great weed eater that handles even tough, tall weeds. I would have given it five stars but the handle seems to want to vibrate loose, requiring you to stop and retighten.

after I assemble the item and started it up which it started on the second Pole the first time I tried to use it within 30 seconds or less the trimmer head went flying off of it and this was not a part that I had to install it was pre-installed. so I had to go find the thing and install it. the starting process is ridiculous it's like an old motorcycle with a petcock. turn this prime this flip this lever and then pull it however many times to start it. the string seem to advance okay but it just didn't seem to have the cutting power as the old model did. I had the older model exactly the same thing but the drive shaft in the lower head had broken so I needed a new weed eater and I should have bought another one of the old model which was still available.

I am unable to start this weed eater most of the time. The starter pull line seems to get hung up at times and won't pull. I am 84 year old woman and it just doesn't work for me. It is the hardest weed eater to use that I have ever had. I am going to give it away or trash it. Money down the drain.

To be fair, I may have gotten a defective product but I gave it 1 star because the trimmer I recieved proved rather dangerous. It was easy enough to put together, only semi difficult to start, but due to what I'm assuming is poorly thought out consturction of the cap, or a defective cap for the fuel container, this thing (after about only 10 mins of use) began leaking a bit of fuel. Before I could react when I noticed, it had already lit itself on fire still in my hands! Beware, and check your item carefully when you get it for ill fitting parts
