The axe arrived scruffed up a bit, looks like other buyers experienced the same. the edge was actually pretty descent. after using it for a stump removal (old peach tree), I used it to split a ton of hard wood. it doesn't have the best profile to split, but I was enjoying the lighter wait axe. it's not a maul, it's not a heavy axe so with that said, it performs pretty well for what it is. I ended up grinding a new edge on it, it's held up pretty good for a non aggressive edge. the grip is surprisingly good, some feedback but not unbearable. Have realistic expectations. if you're going to use an axe for a lot of chopping and splitting, spend a little more for a fiskars. It's worth it. but for small tasks, back roads, or for occasional splitting needs, this is fine.

Very sturdy and reliable. Really gets the job done , I can see this lasting for a few years. Glad I got it. Would highly recommend you get one for around the house jobs. Very reliable for the price.

Needed this for stump removal. Cut like butter however it is brand new so let's see how it holds up after a few years. Nice grip on the handle. Hole in the end so you can hang it on a peg/hook whatever you use in your shed :-)

This is a good axe for the price. It definitely needs sharpened which is only funny because it came with a rubber blade cover on it. The bottom part of the blade is completely flat and over a sixteenth inch thick at one point.

I mean, I dont know what other axes are like, but I like this one. Bought it to chop up some stumps we have leftover. Im a 5'3" woman and I can lift this up easily.

Tried to cut down a small tree, hardly made a notch in it, had to use my machete!!! what a waste of time waiting on it and money buying it! It was brand new, should have been at least sharp enough to cut a tree half as small as my size 3 thigh! Then after our recent snowstorm in February 2026 in NC I tried to use it to break a little bit of the ice up to knock it out out of the way on the sidewalk in front of my house, wouldn't even do that!! Had to use my sledgehammer! Geez, even the shovel worked better than it!! Wish I could return it but I won't return something I have used, even if it didn't work.

The product we received looked used! scratched up, dirty. it looked like someone chopped some wood before selling it.

I put an edge on it when I purchased this. After about 5 swings on a dead Osage orange on my property you could see the edge again. The steel is garbage. Don't waste you time or money on this thing.
