I was skeptical a simple tool could make such a difference, but this 4-3/4” paint edger has completely changed how I approach trim work. It glides smoothly along baseboards, ceilings, and window frames with zero bleed onto adjacent surfaces. What used to take me 30 minutes of careful cutting-in with a brush now takes half the time — and looks twice as clean. The width is perfect for most edges without feeling unwieldy. Solid build quality too. If you're tired of messy tape jobs or shaky freehand lines, just grab one of these.
I looked pretty far and wide into the selection online from hardware stores and Amazon. We were kind of in a pinch and this one turned out to be perfect. The wheels and the sizing I'll make a lot of sense. I hope that Walmart continues this line so I can get refills.
Works decent for the price. The pad isn't as thick as we'd like it to be. It still does well around the doors and windows for cutting in paint. The wide footprint is nice so the roller can blend it into the rest of the wall.
We always use this edger when painting. It does not leave a mess on your woodwork. We are able to cut in an entire room with doing the edging in 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the size of the room, bBest tool ever.
Gave a nice clean line but the wheels were too long and didn't get all the way to the edge so still had to cut in with a brush
completely worthless item. does not cover completely to the edge. the wheels ride too high and a gap is left uncovered.
this edger is really awesome The only bad thing is you only get these at once and you have to be precise when you use it
The Paint Edger tool from Hyper Tough is a handy gadget when trying to get crisp clean lines along edges or in between corners. I needed to touch up some paint around our sink and along the countertop edges, and this tool kept the paint exactly where I needed it! This made painting so much quicker and more efficient and kept the paint lines clean. I like that there is a threaded hole to attach a longer pole if doing walls or near ceilings!
I got this Hyper Tough edger because I was tired of spending more time applying painter's tape than actually painting. I needed something that could help me cut in along ceilings and baseboards without the messy tape routine. The 4-3/4 inch design is a comfortable size to hold, and it's a lot faster than using a brush for long stretches. The pad holds a good amount of paint, though I found it works best if you load it with a brush instead of dipping it directly into a tray, which can get paint on the edges and wheels. There's a bit of a learning curve to get the pressure right, but once you do, it glides along the wall and leaves a pretty clean line. I'm hoping the pad holds up for more than one job, and that the rolling mechanism doesn't get gummed up with paint. For the price, it's a worthwhile shortcut for any painting project.
I personally was not real pleased with this edger. It leaves a big gap (over a 1/4 in)at ceiling line that you have to go back and cover using a brush. Doesn't that just defeat the purpose. I have used another brand for years but it was out of stock so I tried this. Never again.
