Hyper Tough 6.0-Amp Belt Sander, 3 X 18-Inch, 2603

Bought thinking I TRY sanding old part of my deck and much to my surprise, this inexpensive sander did an awesome job! Saved me a lot of money on 2x6x16 deck boards.

Made this purchase up in Northern Michigan to repurpose a wooden patio table outdoors I was able to strip all the stain off and sand down the five planks with these. It made my job so much easier than trying to do it by hand and Walmart provided the excellent service to get it to me quickly for a very reasonable price compared to what I would've paid out-of-pocket at a local hardware store thanks again for the great service

The sander works exactly as expected and has an easy adjustment for the belt tracking. The belt tracking doesn’t drift as you use the tool. It runs full speed, not variable, and has a trigger-on lock button. The dust collection works well. The vacuum exhaust has a microfilter, so no dust in your face. The collection canister can fill up pretty fast, but you can easily pull it off and attach your own shop vacuum tank for more extensive jobs. I can’t address the tool’s longevity in the short time I’ve had it, but it has a 2 year warranty and feels well made. The tool is a bit noisy with a measured sound level of 105 dBC at 18 inches (46 cm) distance. Especially if used indoors, you might use ear protection for any longer time exposure. That said, the sander noise level seems about normal for small power tools.

This Hyper Tough 6-Amp Belt Sander did everything I needed it to do. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and ran smooth. I love that it's got a 2-way dust collection option to catch the dust. You can either use the wet dry vac attachment or the dust canister with a reusable micro filter. On opening it was really easy to put the sander belt on and adjust the belt to it's needed tension. My current project is repainting the front porch. This sander prepared the porch for painting, easily and quickly. You can use either just the trigger or use the lock on button to keep it on. I'm all about safety first so I used just the trigger until I was familiar with how the sander moved. So far I've just used the canister for the dust and it works great. So I can't tell you how well the vac attachment works. This sander has a 6 foot cord. The sanding belt is 3 by 18 inches. And the sander does have a live wire indicator light.

I'm building Barn Doors out of oak wood and have lot of Hemlock Shiplap I'm sanding for an accent wall in my game room. This sander is perfect for these projects. Lightweight, Easy to use, and ran smooth. Also, like that it has a dual dust collector.

I liked everything about the belt sander it works just as well as the exspensive ones and is overall lighter cheaper and heavy duty for sanding floors to rough boards this sander is the best!!

Easy to add the belt sand paper. Used it to sand down deck railing and it did a good job.

Got this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it and he's already done several different projects. So glad he likes it.

Let me preface this review by saying that I have never had an opportunity to use the Hyper Tough brand before. That being said, I will definitely be looking into them more often from now on. For ease of use, I will break this review down into the necessary categories. Style - This is an excellent looking Sander! While being a bit flashy for safety reasons, I am sure…the sleek lines and curves are very appealing and the size is perfect for personal use. The feel as well is quite good…and the brand is setting a good trend toward safety and function over the crazy colors some other companies use. Function - This sander has performed quite admirably in the time that I have had it. The weight helps maintain a balanced grind and the cord (which could stand to be a little longer) is tough but flexible. I have been quite impressed with how great it has been. Four out of Five! The cord isn't short, but it may not be as long as some would like, but I would definitely recommend this Sander to anyone who is looking for something reliable and stylish. Suffice it to say that I will be keeping an eye on Hyper Tough in the future.

works pretty good, has some power and need to hold on tight or vroom there it goes. i like it qnd for the price its nice
