Hyper Tough Single Outlet All-Weather Timer with 3-Prong Outlet, 6-Inch Cord, 15 Amps

I bought this for the family room. Our tall tree has twinkle lights strung in it and we leave the lights on at night! We set the timer to come on at dark and go off in morning when it gets light! It did take couple times to get the timer set correctly. Price was fair. Quality top notch. Definitely recommend. Would be great for Christmas Tree.

The hyper tough single outlet is not what I ordered . It was not in stock so they substituted this instead. I ordered the dusk to dawn light switch outlet that does not need any programming , however they weren't in stock. So it was replaced with the one that has a dial that you have to manually set and with a power failure you may have to adjust the dial to the right time. Even so these work perfectly. Merry Christmas!!!

I'm using this to control a pool pump. It works well for that and I have no issues. I like being able to control the power on to override the timer. The only small issue with the pool is if I want to do something like clean the filter I have to unplug it since there is no "off" when the timer is on.

These timers are the best inventions ever and I am going to use them year-round. It allows you to set every hour whether you electronics to come on or off. I'm able to set my Christmas lights to come on and off multiple times during the day. It has been a blessing and has simplified the holiday. I use them indoor as well as outdoors. I bought six!

Nice heavy-duty timer. Has a clear plastic cover that flips over the dial. Took a minute to figure it out, but it's been a dream since.

Works in outside elements as intended. It can be challenging to turn off/on some of the pegs if they are positioned in certain places, but that's really the only downside.

It works but the switches require very small fingers, I'm 6' 5" 220. I don't have small fingers. Knowing what I know now would have opted for something a little different. There's nothing really wrong but most Americans are a little larger than this switch allows for.

Have purchased before.. This one will not stay in my outlets. Previous purchased ones no problem with (in same or other outlets,). Apparently quality control issues.

We used this timer for our nearly a month with our outdoor Christmas lights. I always hated having to go outside every night and plug in and unplug our Christmas lights, but this made it so much easier, but I do have some complaints. Let's start with the good first. It does work as it says, and the timer prongs are simple to use and to figure out. You just set the time now, when setting up and then the time off and on. The prongs are a little small but easy to press back down if you pull up too many. I really wish this cord was a little longer. It's extremely short. It comes with a mounting hole on the back but you can't mount it to anything because of the length. I also wish it had more than one plug in. The biggest design flaw for me is that it's just “weather resistant” and even says in the instructions “don't use in wet locations”. It's not waterproof, and actually even has holes on each side of the plate for water/snow/ moisture to get in. I don't understand how it's classified as all weather if you in fact cannot use it in all weather.

Received this item at the end of May. It is now early July, and it stopped working after an electrical outage. Too late to return, but way too early for it to stop working. There was no surge for this to happen. It is advertised as waterproof so not sure if the rain took a toll. Would advise others to not buy this for outside use. (or at all)
