this is a good replacement plug to fix a broken power cord or extension cord. it worked perfectly to fix my 100 foot heavy duty outdoor extension cord. it is very easy to hookup this replacement plug . the prong on the bottom is where the ground wire ( green ) goes. left prong ( black ) wire has a brass screw. . right prong ( white wire ) has a silver screw. these replacement plugs never wear out. if it ever gets corrosion on the prongs use sand paper to remove it and it will work properly again. my wire hookup instructions are for outdoor extension cords

Rock solid with zero issues. It looked cheap to me in the picture, but when I received it, I realized it was a rock-solid unit with no compromises and at the lowest price I could find online for that matter. I used this to replace a plug on an AC that was old and was prone to heating. I figured it must be getting old and replaced it. Sure enough it's nice and cool no matter how long the AC runs. Excellent product that I absolutely recommend for a 15A or lower plug replacement.

So far, so good. I installed it with ease, and I lie it better than the original washing machine plug. I is definitely sturdier. I never had grounding prong come off before, but then the RCA washer has never been right. Problems from day one.

This plug has a very good screw connection with all 3 conductors and a strain relief. My only complaint is the extra large round form factor of the plug, which might limit where it can be plugged in.

Very difficult (almost impossible) to wire correctly. I suggest Home Depot or Lowe's for items such as this.Don't waste your money on this one. This is a bad mechanical design.
