Hyrule Warriors - Nintendo Wii-U

The Zelda games are most likely my favorite so far of the RPG games. I am not a serious hard core gamer, being a woman and an artist it's not the ' shoot 'em up ' fight hard kind of games I seek out to play. Good graphics, good story, good sound tracks and seamless game play are the features I find myself my inspired by, all of which are found in all the different Zelda games. Zelda Warriors of Hyrule is somewhat different from the others having been made by an outside source from Nintendo. Much MORE fight action, moves VERY fast, with pretty difficult boss battles, but it is in keeping with the Zelda story. The graphics are superior to every other game I've played thus far, though this is my first Wii U game, which only reason I finally caved in and bought the Wii U player was so I could play the Zelda games which were only available on the Wii U. I've worked my way up through the ranks of game play, ( being an older adult who didn't grow up playing video games from an early start ) stumbling onto the RPG genre beginning with the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory, and Pandora's Tower which I absolutely loved and was heartbroken when I played my last Rune Factory game, until I discovered ZELDA! The Zelda series became my new favorite games and in my very humble opinion, Hyrule Warriors is an Excellent game!

Got my son a Wii U for Christmas solely so we can play this game! !!!!! It's amazing! We used to irritatingly play this for hours at the store and I figured it was time to dish out the $$ to play lol. You do have to beat the 1st level as single player in order to introduce 2 player mode (just a heads up)

Though the price is a bit high it is all worth it once you enter the game and experience the typical Zelda thrill. Now able to control new characters makes it a WHOLE NEW experience, that new and old Legend of Zelda fans would obsess with.

This is a game the whole family plays.

I am just completely in love with this game. There are several modes to play like Legend mode which is a story mode; Free Play mode which allows you to replay legend mode levels with any character; Adventure mode which are random levels that vary in difficulty and goals and for winning you get more heart health and better weapons; and Challenge mode which gives you certain challenges to beat. Downloadable content for this game is super fun as well. You can change characters costumes, play with several weapons, create potions, craft badges, and the best part of it all is that every level can be played cooperatively. Playing with a friend adds another dynamic to the game as you can divide and conquer the map or just storm each keep with your combined force. As a major gamer myself, this game was totally worth the price for the fun and enjoyment I get out of this game. One of the best purchases I have made in a while.

This is my first time playing a hack & slash style game. But after reading rave reviews, I decided to give Hyrule Warriors a shot. It's a win in my sister's book, who is a huge Zelda fan. And also a win in my boyfriend's book, who is a fan of Dynasty Warriors. Graphics for the cutscenes are beautiful, but there can be some improvements made for the actual gameplay graphics. Lots of downloadable content to choose from, which expands the game beyond the Legend Mode story. I highly recommend giving Hyrule Warriors a shot.

The story line is great the challenge and adventure modes will keep you playing.you can adjust the difficulty so you can get used to the controls. The controls are the downside. If you use the tablet or classic controls you will be fine but dont recommend using a wiimote. the wiimote controls are horrible as you have to shake directly down for each strike unlike in skyward sword. This movement feels awkward and makes it harder to rack up combos though not impossible as well as tiring making playing short to rest the arms. Would rate the game 5 but the controls lower it.

I like that I can use other characters in the game. I do not care much for the fact that the game is time rated. ie: you have to reach a certain goal or the game is over. I am glad that you can start at a saved point in the game. All in all it is a good game and I am getting used to the timed aspect of it.
