This is a great game for kids with short attention spans. This is the first game I was able to complete with my Neurodiverse six-year-old son. He had a great time and even beat me. There is a tiny bit of strategy to this game, but it's mostly luck. This definitely is geared more towards early elementary students but even my 15-year-old played with us and had a couple laughs which is no small feat.
First of all, this game is awesome. It moves along nicely, keeping my young kids engaged; it has a fun story that my kids like to extend and elaborate upon while we are playing; and it helps develop decision-making skills and cost benefit analysis skills in kids! But, one of the greatest parts of this game is the spinner. It is soooo satisfyingly smooth! Seriously, I'm not joking...it's the freaking best!Pro tip: put just the tiniest drop of vegetable or olive oil on the bottom of the spinner and it spins even smoother and longer with little to no effort. It is mystifyingly mesmerizing!!!
What a hilarious way to teach strategic decision making! The game scales nicely, allowing for my youngest (3) to just simply play while my eldest (6) can contemplate what right decision will be to maximize and speed up his tooth acquisition! Pieces are sturdy and plentiful!
The instructions were a bit hard to grasp at first, but after laying everything out, we got the game going from the first try. My five year old was first eager to just spin, but soon enough was thinking about whether it makes sense to use a card or save it for more spins later. I'd recommend it.
The only thing more frustrating than teaching my kids the importance of good oral hygiene is having to purposely lose games against them so they don't cry for the next 3 hours. Despite my 5 year old refusing to play any cards and hoarding them worse than my great aunt Bertha and her porcelain dolls, he managed to absolutely beat the pants off me. I told my wife I let him win, but then I cried alone in the closet for 3 hours. Now if that's not great parenting, then what is?
This is such a winner! This game is absolutely outstanding. My family plays a ton of games and it's always hard to find something all my kids enjoy especially the little ones. My 4 year old thought this was great and my 10 year old didn't mind the seemingly easy game play, because there is strategy to it as well.
My kids really liked this game. We were given it as a gift, and I thought they would be a little too old for it, but my 7year old kept wanting to play over and over, and even my 8 year old liked it a lot. I would definitely recommend it for slightly younger ages, but obviously it hit the spot for my kiddos too. The game is well thought out, and the little story you read beforehand completely engaged my kids more in the game play. This would make an excellent gift or game for family game night with kiddos ages 4-8!
I like that there is a lot of strategy to this game, especially for the younger kids to start to learn choices and decision making. It teaches them that they can't just spin and win; they have to think about how to use their cards. I think it is creative how there is a story about how the Meef lost their teeth, but in my opinion, it's more a read it once and forget it type of thing. Also, my 4 year old is at the age where she's learning that kids lose their teeth, and it gives her anxiety about it, so we just skipped over the part about the Meef's teeth falling/popping. Lastly, we found the instructions a tad confusing- they have the strategy instructions listed before the game play instructions, which made it a bit confusing at first. Overall, we had a fun time playing this game, and learning a bit of strategy.
This was a fun game that my family enjoyed playing. The teeth have cute faces on them and kinda look like slices of pizza. :p It can go on for a bit because you're constantly getting or losing teeth, but sometimes you'll luck out and get a jackpot and someone will win pretty easily. Cute and unpredictable, good for younger kids. My son is 7 and he enjoyed it, tho he got frustrated when he lost teeth lol.
My daughter loves this game and I love how she has learned that how she can save up for more spins instead of getting the immediate satisfaction of a single spin every time. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that the games can go so fast that 1 player can win without anyone else getting a single tooth. It's great for her attention span but it can also make her feel like she never had a chance to win when the game is over without a single tooth in her monster.
