Iams Proactive Health Adult Chicken Dry Cat Food for Urinary Tract Health, 3.5 lb Bag

After my cat was diagnosed with a UTI, I purchased cat food at the Vet for over $100. Then, a friend recommended this brand as it’s much more affordable and my cat has been eating this for the last 4 years and has never had another UTI. He loves the taste and it pairs well with his wet food.

I have a multi cat home and one cat needed to go on a urinary tract formula food. It's impossible to separate the lot, so I decided to start feeding all of them--out older female cats--the same food. They had been eating Purina Indoor formula and they switched to this brand quite easily.

One of our cats had crystallization in her urine. She was treated and the vet recommended a much more expensive brand of cat food. This food has been great for ALL of our cats, both male and female. We feed them this and also one for sensitive tummy and skin. Haven’t had any issues since.

Our cat had surgery a few years ago and had to be on a special diet. We took the chance on Iams vs the expensive prescription option the vet recommended. Our cat has been happy and healthy on this food for 5 years now. Will keep buying.

My 3 year old male cat ended up with crystals in his urine. Was forced by vet to buy $60 bags of prescription food. When I looked into the issue, I found this food. I switched, added more wet food, and give him the Doctor By urinary care when needed. He likes the food, doesn't vomit, and feels better.

I adopted my Russian Ble f our years ago when she was five years old. After we lost our other beautiful cat to kidney stones, I've always fed Isla this Iams food. She's now going on n 11 and is still like a kitten. There's this food in her bowl, so she is clean and gorgeous !

My cat was diagnosed with crystals. My vet recommended a very expensive urinary dry cat food that was like $80 for a small bag. A very close friend of mine‘s daughter was going to school as a veterinarian and she suggested that I try IAMS urinary. She said that it was made for the same thing. So I did try it and he never got crystals again.. So a $17 bag versus an $80 bag worked for me.

We switched to this food after my 4‑year‑old cat started peeing around the house. The vet couldn't find a clear reason, so we tried changing his diet and deep‑cleaned the house. After switching to this Iams urinary formula, he completely stopped the behavior and has been fine ever since. Really glad we tried it.

i took in about a 2 yo Male cat from my backyard..i have read that Male' s are prone to urinary crystals which can be life threatening..why i chose this dry food..also Have to make sure they drink enough water, %26 i also feed him can food with tich of water added twice daily...I'm very lucky he has been healthy thus far for the 3 yrs I've had him..strictly indoors... ..He loves this dry Iams urinary..no allergies, diarrhea , vomiting or urinary problems thus far..Works for him

Typically I'd recommend this as I've been purchasing the Urinary Tract Health food for 5 years as of this review. My cats loved it!! The last two bags purchased, were painful to get through. IAMS must have changed up their formula though I can't find any articles online about this. BOTH cats stopped devouring this like usual with the first serving out of the bag. We'll push through this last bag then I'm switching to something else. I'm rather disappointed as we've always been and IAMS household.
