Cat's Pride Scented Scoopable Cat Litter, 12 lb Jug

I've been using Cat's Pride for years, and it's as good as any of the top brand lightweight clumping litters. It's low dust, and everyone with multiple cats likes lightweight litter that clumps well. But fully half of the reason I buy this is because of the container. It's better than any other large litter container I've found, and I use them all over the garden. I even use them as collection points for the water that drains from my dehumidifier in the garage. Then i use the water for my plants in the greenhouse. At 9"across and 15" tall, you could grow vegetables in these. And the lids snap in place very securely.

I switched to this brand to save $ and was concerned it would be lower quality than what I have always used. It's not. It clumps just as well %26 is easy to scoop. I like that the scent isn't too strong like some others I have used. I will be buying this again.

This is the brand we always bought when we went to buy groceries. Foer some reason the stores near us stopped carrying this product. After trying several other brands and were very disappointed with them, I found I could order this brand we have used for years online, I am very pleased with this option. As long as they are available, I will continue to order them. This brand clumps much better and fights odor better than any of the ones we tried. It is easier to see things such as blood in urine because it does not get very dark. I highly recommend this brand.

I have been using it for some time and it works well for me. Since I have multiple cats and need many boxes of litter at a time, the price is ok. It has gone up substantially in single boxes however. I do appreciate the ability to get a better price by buying multiples.

I use to get 2 12lbs pourable containers but Walmart raised the price to almost $18. So tried 20lbs tubs. They are very hard to get open %26 heavy to pour when full. There is a plastic pull tab I had to get a lock wrench to pull open. So inconvenient. Not worth it for me at almost 70 years old. Oh well…that's my story.

I usually buy the tidy cats lightweight litter. I have 3 cats and 2 xl stainless litter boxes. money is very tight so I tried this litter. I don't like it. it's very dusty, and doesn't clump as well or stop odors as well as my usual litter. I have to pass on purchasing this again...

I ordered the 20lb size of this kitty litter. Getting off the top was one of the most frustrating things I have ever done. It took me almost 30 minutes to wrestle this top off. I used scissors, pliers, and a lot of strength to finally wrench the top off. The litter seems to work fine, it is low dust, with a pleasant smell. I think it is a good deal for the price.

I order this product via delivery with my groceries almost every week and I've had 2 instances where I got contaminated litter. The first instance it appears someone opened the top and took a whiz in there on put it back on the shelf to be sold to an unsuspecting customer (me) at a later date. The second container (pictured) has clumps and leaves and twigs in there so I assume someone had some type of spill in their driveway used the litter to soak it up then swept up the litter put it back in the container and returned it to the store to be sold to me. So now every time I order it I open it up right away and look inside and tilt it at various angle looking inside for any irregularities. Unlike other brands this one does not have a glued in safety seal under the cap. Do yourself a favor and open each one before you buy it to make sure it's not contaminated. I never bothered to return the containers I got stuck with as it's too much of a hassle and I don't use them in order of purchase as the one container was in my closet for months according to the delivery label on it. If you get a uncontaminated container it's a good product but let's face it people are animals out there so either inspect first or buy something that can't be tampered with like a box with a pull tab to rip it open.

It took me cutting the packaging lid strip off to open the container. The pull ring broke first try, then cut to open and obviously it is thick material and was difficult to cut. My wife could not do it. Will only by the next smaller size jug from now on.
