Iams Proactive Health Turkey Dry Cat Food, 6 Lb Bag

This is the brand I prefer to use for my cat although lately I've had to use something else so we're going back to that but I haven't tried this exact time before. I think it's going to really help them. So I am excited. And the friend can be expensive some places. This was a good price.

My cat LOVES this food and literally tries to attack the bag and open it every time we bring a fresh bag home! it's crazy. The food looks like normal cat food and he wolfs it down like it's the best thing ever, which is cool and all, but what I like best is all the hairballs I'm NOT cleaning up anymore! why? Because there's none! It really is for sensitive stomachs and cuts down on vomiting! I swear by this food! My Clover loves it just as much as the Blue Buffalo Tastefuls for sensitive stomachs and it does just as well a job at cutting out hairballs for a slightly lower cost.

My boy has a sensative stomach, had taken him to the vet for blood in his stool. vet recommended a food thats digestion gentle and for sensitive stomachs., not necessarily this product but something like this, not trying to give out Doctor's advice. so we tried Iams and it has worked great for us plus I add some probiotics powder formula, aslo sold by walmart and we have made a huge improvement on my pets health.

pro: We have two cats and they both do well with this food. We've tried less expensive popular names but they couldn't "stomach" them. con: We have to order the larger bag on line since the local stores I've checked carry only the smaller 3 pound size.

One of my cats has sensitive digestion. The other cat has urinary tract problems. They both do well on this product. I called I am's company to ask about their pH, and I was told that all of their products lean toward the acidic side; so I think that the acidic side is helping my cat with the urinary tract crystals too. However I do mix this Iams with a prescription food for urinary tract crystals, both cats do well on that mixture.

Purchased for my older cat…he's like 6. He meows for it when his bowl is empty so I guess it's delicious…but be warned, he didn't use that exact description. Bought this kind specifically in hopes he'd stop puking up hairballs all the time…still barfs, but down to 5-7 a week vs 1583 per day. So yay for that!

This cat food is great for cats with sensitive stomachs. My cat is very picky about his food. He has a sensitive stomach and tends to throw up sometimes when he eats too fast. This food does not bother his stomach. He always eats it and it doesn't make him throw up. I'm pretty much sticking to this brand of dry food from now on.

Got this for one of my cats who was experiencing stomach upsets with his current food. It seemed to work, once I got him to accept it. Thankfully, my other cats wanted nothing to do with it. It's quite expensive and therefore not an everyday food in my house, plus the pebbles of food are like little rocks. This I don't get because I'd think they could come up with something a little more palatable and less hard. Still, my cat eventually ate it and got through his stomach situation. I'd recommend this as a substitute for cats going through the same but not for an everyday food-too costly. Not too many options at Walmart for cats with sensitive stomachs, too bad.

the ingredients are ok. the list of ingredients are not bad, but not great either. Nonetheless I feel like the packages have steadily shrunk, while the price has simultaneously increased a lot. I'm starting to have to cook my own healthy cat food, because the selection is getting worse and the prices are not fair to the customers. So, I'm trying out some other brands. IAMS use to be a fair value, and I didn't mind paying a little more for quality. but not we're paying a lot more to a pet food monopoly.

Perhaps it varies by cat but in my experience, Iams is no good for my kitties. I've used more expensive brands (Blue Buffalo, Crave, Royal Canin, and Hills Science Diet) which were all far superior to this product. I was trying to find a more cost effective option for my kitties— I am not a fan of any of the Purina brand cat foods and I felt bad giving them Meow Mix— but Iams led to *very* stinky poops in the litter box (and that was the same result for all 3 of my cats). I've also tried Iams Indoor Weight %26 Hairball Control (blue bag) and their Healthy Adult (orange bag) with the same results. We're currently using Blue Buffalo grain free dry cat food and I've definitely noticed an improvement when cleaning their litter box.
