Great product
Excellent flavor, crispy and very good to combine with everything.
I needed a big bag of plantain chips to stash in the pantry for quick snacks and to throw into lunchboxes during the week. The 20 oz size on this Iberia container caught my eye right away—most brands only give you 5 or 6 oz, so this felt like buying in bulk without having to go to a wholesale club. When the container arrived, it was actually fuller than I expected. Sometimes these big bags are mostly air, but this one had a solid amount of chips. They’re mostly intact, too—maybe 10-15% broken pieces at the bottom, which is fine for crumbling over soup or just eating with a spoon. The lightly salted flavor is legitimately light. Not bland, but you can taste the plantain itself, which has a slight sweetness and that starchy, satisfying crunch. My kid said they taste like “savory banana chips” and honestly that’s not wrong. Salt level is perfect if you don’t want your lips to tingle after a handful. My only gripe is they’re a little oily. Not dripping, but you’ll see the shine on your fingers. I’d love if they were a touch drier. Also, the bag is resealable, which is a must for 20 oz, but the seal strip is kind of weak—I’ve started using a clip just to be safe. I’m hoping they hold up over the next few weeks without going stale. For the amount you get, if the crunch stays, I’d buy these again. Big container, small complaints, would still buy
Iberia plantain chips are some of the best tasting plantain chips I've had, and I've tried a bunch. They are very satisfying, fresh, not too salty (lightly salted flavor), well packaged and a bit on the thickly cut side. I buy them all the time. They're great.
yes I have taken pictures of it and I don't know if you can see what I'm talking about but is more than half is just crumbs okay I'm in both bottles they must have been throwing it around. in the warehouse where there were packing it or once they package it and threw it and this is how I received it.
I really enjoy plantain chips, and most brands are usually great. However, this particular brand tasted a bit stale, almost as if it had been on the shelf for too long. It might help to rotate stock more frequently, and perhaps offer older inventory at a discount to ensure customers always get the freshest product.
Open product! I’m surprised, first time happens we order very consistently and always happy with the products and delivery time…except today, the Iberia Platanitos was open very unsafe for us.
All broken up into pieces
This is the fourth time I've ordered this product. Every single time the jar has been opened. This is disgusting %26 unacceptable. What are these people in shipping doing, tampering with customers products. Aren't there any cameras, to monitor what employees are doing?
I’m very upset, the delivery seemed okay until I opened this plantain container today and the seal was carefully opened! Crumbs felled on the table it looked like the lid was used to put the crunchy plantain chips. I don’t think it was a packing issue, but an abuse of whoever handled the delivery.
