Rinse first
Yes It is very salty. First time I couldn't eat it. BUT... I rinse it before cooking leaving some spice and I love it. I use a mini rice cooker from Walmart.

I add corn, black beans, Kielbasa good meal
Great item to have in the pantry, especially for you preppers. Lots of servings, non perishable. I add a can of corn, a can of black beans and some kielbasa. Very filling meal with leftovers.
