I had never heard of walking sticks and didn't know what to expect. They had been recommended to me by my son. They were a couple of days late being delivered, but when they did arrive they were easy to assemble. I've been using them now for about a week. Yesterday I used them for a half hour and was surprised to discover that I had been strengthened by using them. Walking for that half hour was much easier than the previous six days.
Need to tighten hanled regularly. I love the balance they anable me to have. I use every time I walk trails. Had 2 knee replacements last year with these I feel comfortable and safe walking easy to moderate trails.
I don't appreciate one of my three boxes being tore opened. So whoever is so nosey to look inside to see what's in it. whoever the culprit needs to know, dont open a package that dont have their name on it, period.
I'm 60 years old. so I'm not going to go mountain trekking. use these things three times already. they have a higher adjustment setting than most, there's three parts that slide in and out of each other and you screw them and they tightened automatically. appear to be very sturdy the straps for your wrist work perfect. don't buy expensive ones if you don't need to go mountain trekking. and I stated these might even work for mountain trekking because they seem really strong.
I have trouble with my balance and these help tremendously. I love to walk on trails and would not be able to otherwise. I always have trouble getting any trekking pole to maintain my choices for length, and these gave me similar problems; my arms are not strong enough to twist poles tightly, I think. Most people will do fine with that. I liked all the "feet" that came with them but probably will only use two of those choices.
Reading other peoples reviews they never got instructions on how to use/ assemble. I was lucky and actually got instructions, they are sooo vague though and incomplete. Once I got 1 of the poles set up I can not get it to adjust to change the size or collapse it to get the pole back in the bag. I have reached out to the manufacturer IC ICLOVER for instructions or help on how to do that part and so far have not heard back from them. Not being able to collapse the pole makes it unusable because it means I can not take it in the supermarket once I get the trolley or in the car and put it in my bag at appointments. If I can not figure it out (very soon) I'm probably going to have to return the product to get a pole that I can collapse (is adjustable) or fold up as as I require.
It was shipped quickly, but it does not have the pointed ends which is what I really wanted. It has many different ends I can use, but I thought they all came with pointed ends.
These poles have no safety feature to avoid collapse. They've shortened on me twice, significantly. You have to tighten the adjustment feature before and after every use, and I would expect during use on unsteady ground. I only use them around my neighborhood for stability while walking, Im 75. I can't imagine using them on a mountain hike.
was supposed to arrive in 2 days waiting a week for this to take a trip around the States... desperately needed for walking exercising after lower back fusion surgery! but one of the plastic lock in place pieces was cracked-came defective! highly disappointed!
I did not receive the correct hiking sticks that I ordered. I wanted the exta tips for the stick. That is why I ordered the particular model. Please send the ones that I ordered. Please see my order history. Thank you for your consideration. I have shopped at Walmart retail and have spent so much money especially lately. Please correct the mistake.
