This is actually a pretty good small kit for hikers (The 10 hiking essentials) was impressed it had sun screen and blister covers. Theres room enough to add a few things. (I added some pain and allergy meds, a mini Bic lighter, a small sharp scissor and a small roll of better medical tape) It's just right to toss in a daypack and forget it. Only thing I didn't like was the “be smart” logo on the pouch and the ridiculously tiny band aids added to increase the number of pieces in the kit. The pouch color is good, easy to spot. This is the best small first aid kit I've seen for under $15.
This little first aid kit is adorable in size, but that doesn’t make it any less useful! The small impact size makes it a great addition to backpacks, purses, and diaper bags. It barely takes up any room at all. It is very lightweight and light duty. It contains the essentials: silver wound dressing gel, antiseptic wipes, butterfly closures, bandages of varying sizes, antibiotic ointments, burn creams, insect protection creams, sting relief wipes, blister patches, and sunscreen. The items are split between one large compartment and a smaller pocket for quick access. These are all great essentials to have on hand for light duty adventures. The bag feels water resistant. There is a waxy, plastic like coating on the inside to help keep water out. There is a flap on the back for weaving a belt through for easy access or you can clip it onto a backpack. I appreciate the versatility and the ability to add more to it as needed. The bright orange color is great for added visibility as well. Zipper access is quick, easy, and convenient too. There are matching orange zipper pulls for easy handling. This would make a good starter kit for anyone, young or old.
This review is for the Happy Hiker First Aid Kit, 65 Pieces by Be Smart Get Prepared. This is a great little first aid kit to have in the house or to keep in your car as it fits perfectly in the glove compartment. It has a lot of stuff inside of it surprisingly because the bag is super tiny and can fit in your pocket. Would be a great size for your kids too to take to camp or wherever. The case is zippered which keeps everything in place. This kit comes with all that you need to treat everything such as cuts, scrapes, 1st and 2nd degree burns, bruises, sunburns, insect bites and stings, blisters as well as minor aches and pains. My husband is an emt and has an arsenal of supplies all over our house. He loves how small this is so he could put in anywhere. He also likes the secure zippered case so he could fill it with other things that fits our needs or replace things as needed. You really could not go wrong with this first aid kit so I do recommend it and I would definitely purchase this again in the future.
very light weight. love it
Contains everything you might need.
Haven't had to use, but enjoy the compact size to keep on hand
This is a very small pouch and contains only the very basics. No gauze or larger bandages, The bag includes Wound gel, 5 butterfly closures (good), 1 antibiotic ointment (more should be included), 2 Insect Repellent packs (nice touch) 2 sunburn ointment packets (nice touch), 2 SPF sunscreen packets (good) 3 sting relief towelettes, 10 small (tiny) shear bandaids (too many) 6 antiseptic towelettes. WHAT IT DOES NOT CONTAIN: aspirin, ibuprofen, or other pain killers or for headaches, gauze, cotton, and large winged bandages for curved spots. WHAT I ADDED: Though there is not much spare room in the pouch I did include a tick removal key, tweezers, a Bic Lighter, Alcohol wipes, sting kill ampules, Advil packets, Ibuprofen packets, aspirin packets, Alka-Seltzer: tums, rubber tourniquet, a small piece of gauze roll for a sling and a 2 small tubes of superglue. In a larger kit, I would include superglue and the spray accelerant. Is it medical grade glue...no....but it can be a lifesaver. I will likely also include a small magnifying glass...nice for removing splinters, stickers, etc. In all fairness, I don't think this pouch is intended to be for a simple outing and not for remote, multi-day hiking. I know a lot of people are weight-conscious down to grams. When it comes to First Aid preparedness, I would prefer to be reasonably prepared.
it is as described however I find the kit to be a bit lacking. i wouldnt buy it again.
i haven't had a chance to try everything, but the bandaids do NOT stick very long. this is especially true if you start sweating. Usually they last long enough to get home %26 get a better bandaid on though, so not a complete waste. For 6$ its not a horrible mini first aid kit.
Don't bother. The bandages included don't stick at all and are completely useless.. Unless ur buying it only for the other things included, it's useless..
