Ozark Trail 50 F Rectangular Sleeping Bag

Great Bag. Big. Warm. Comfy. Light. Zipper is better than most cheaper bags, but it functions fine with a little care. I carried one on a 135 day hike - slept in it every night - down the Mississippi River Valley from WI to TN; it endured the abuse like a champ (till I gave it to a homeless guy in Nashville).

For the price, these are great. They are not warm, so are useful mid-summer. A liner can be used if need be. At this price, they are a great bag that will last a few months or even a year or two. In my experience, the zipper breaks after a while and the stitching breaks so that the fiber fill forms into one large ball eventually. I also have nicer name brand flannel lined bags, but these Ozark bags definitely also have a place in my collection.

The zipper is not as sturdy as I would like for a sleeping bag, you have to be careful with it. Tried it in 45 degree weather and it was pretty warm. It was pretty well priced for what your getting.

I usually only leave positive reviews but I have to leave a mid review on this sleeping bag. The one I got had a lot of issues with quality control on the stitching. The first times I used it I had threads hanging off of me after I got up. I had them go over the bag and cut a bunch of hanging threads. I hope that didn't ruin the structure of the bag. Maybe spend a little more and get something with a little more care put into it's production.

For $20 it wasn't bad. But the material and quality were definitely lacking. If you are looking for something affordable go for it but if you're looking for quality I would pass.

I've bought this sleeping bag for two of my other kids for camp and they still work, but this latest one I bought lasted only one use, with the zipper sticking and ripping off immediately. Disappointed as this was my go to easy, compact sleeping bag in years past…

Zipper was not functional. Construction was poorly done and not of quality material. Not entirely the fault of manufacturer but partially due to lack of attention on my part for not delving into it as much as I would have done had I not been going on a scheduled camping trip.

I bought two of these a few years ago and they were a decent bag. Corners have clearly been cut. The stitching is awful and unravels quickly. The color runs when they get wet. And, even though I bought two of the same bags, they are not the same size and don't zip together well. If you need a bag for a couple of nights, maybe this will do... But your money would be better spent renting a better bag from a reputable company.

I've liked this brand and expected a good quality item. But it was sewed wrong and the zipper did not function. Besides that, there were tufts of thread in several places that would have gotten caught in the zipper if it did work! Very disappointed. As this was the last one the store had, I could not exchange it for a different one.

Zipper did not work at all and material felt horrible. I couldn't imagine anyone sleeping in it an absolute last resort it was like a weird slick hot polyester feel I opened it and couldn't even stand to hold to fold it to return it so i threw it out because it was too big and awkward to repackage and get a refund on, but it's terrible. The zipper didn't even work. It was useless. It's a horrible polyester feel with no light flannel lining so I don't know how anybody could stand to sleep in that thing if they could even get the zipper to work.
