For me, it is worth the money it basically pays for itself. Yes, it melts if you don't empty it, and, you can only use purified water. Saves on buying bag ice. so worth the money, easy to use operation, doesn't take long for it to make the ice.

This ice maker is well made, easy to clean with the self clean option %26 produces quality ice cubes throughout the day. It’s only noisy when making the cubes unlike the 2 other name brand ice makers I had that rattled %26 whined overnight then then eventually stopped working!

Wow, great machine! Low sale price, fast shipping and the ice turnover is fast. I've used my sons small nugget ice which cost 2x more and it melts fast. This ice not only doesn't melt fast it doesn't make soda flat if you poor warm soda over it; never thought ice could make a drink so good! I use the larger ice and it has a whole through it. Ice last pretty long and I'm obsessed w the fact soda doesn't go flat, even hours later lol. Distilled water is the key; tried filtered fridge water which has 7 carbon etc layer filter and it was definitely different. Distilled makes smooth, non melting ice whereas fridge was gritty and did not freeze whole which tells me solutes are present. This machine had ice in 4, 5 minutes! You just have to move ice away from back when it fills to keep the machine going; red light means its full or you need to move the ice from where ice is flipped into basket. My fridge stop making ice, I think it froze up inside so we needed ice. This is small enough to cart anywhere for use and yet produces fast enough to keep a family gathering content.

I had such high hopes for this appliance. There are two sizes for ice cubes and it does make 9 cubes in five minutes and then 9 cubes every five minutes or so. It's an all day process to accumulate enough ice to keep a stock of it. When the ice maker is done, there is a pool of water in the water reservoir that needs to be dumped if storing the machine. The maker is light weight and fairly easy to use. The instruction booklet said the ice maker would get faster as its used so I'm hoping it will.

Disappointed, the ice cubes start melting immediately . You need to empty the basket constantly or lose the ice! They r so wet they stick together when you transfer to a freezer, then need to pound on them to break apart to use.

Ice does not stay frozen long. Ice takes longer to make cubes. I have had 5 ice machines and this is my 2nd time purchasing this brand and I am not happy with brand.

the ice maker is too small, cheaply made and does NOT put outq 40Ibs of ice per day. I'm lucky if it puts out 5. the ice cubes melt if you don't get them immediately which is unconventiate if you're qsleeping or gone. i am going to return this item and get another. i have had many other machines in the past and this is by far the worst!!

The machine was misrepresented as a $300 value. It is actually a knock off of more expensive model. The cubes constantly get stuck on the upper level or the cube maker, which stops the machine from making ice, and allowing the cubes in the bin to melt, before new cubes are produced. The machine was presented as a black Friday sale, and since it was on the Walmart site, I trusted it. This was not a Walmart item. I am quite disappointed and not sure how to return.

I have only had it 6 days , the ice only making 2 cubes, something is wrong with the machine, trying to get a hold of manufacturer to see about a replacement,

It was never fast and got slower and slower until it stopped working in less than a week. I did everything the instruction book said, only used purified water, it was no where near a stove, and it must have got damaged in the shipping or it just has a very poor design. If you want your time wasted its a must buy.
