I recently tried the IMUSA 4 Cup Electric Espresso and Cappuccino Maker, and it's been a great upgrade from my previous setup using a moka pot to make espresso on the stove. One of the biggest advantages is how easy it is to use, you can have a fresh cup of espresso ready in two minutes or less, which is perfect for busy mornings. My mom hated making coffee at my house before adding the IMUSA Espresso maker and now she is very happy too! This machine also passed my very snobby espresso loving husbands taste test! The machine was simple to set up right out of the box and comes with everything you need, including a scoop for measuring your coffee. I also appreciate that it's compact and doesn't take up much space on the countertop, making it a good fit even for smaller kitchens. Another plus is that you can use any type of ground coffee, which helps keep ongoing costs low compared to pod-based machines. It even includes a built-in milk frother for cappuccinos! The only small adjustment is remembering to turn the manual knob back to the "off" position once your espresso is finished. It's easy to forget at first, but after a few uses it becomes part of the routine. Overall, I would recommend this espresso maker to anyone looking to elevate their daily coffee routine without investing in a large, expensive machine. It's affordable, convenient, and delivers a solid cup of espresso!
I think this espresso and cappuccino maker is a great option for beginners. It's very easy to use, even if you don't have much experience making lattes. The setup is straightforward, and the instructions are simple to follow. What really stood out to me is the value. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the drinks turned out. The lattes and cappuccinos came out smooth, flavorful, and better than I expected for a machine in this range. I do wish it had come with a pitcher to steam milk. I ended up purchasing one, but felt it didn't fit well to the steaming wand since it is fixed in place. It'd be nice to either have a pitcher included or have the ability to move the wand a bit to steam milk. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone just getting started with making espresso drinks at home or looking for a budget-friendly option that still delivers good results.
IMUSA kindly gave me this 4 Cup Electric Espresso and Cappuccino Maker for free so that I could review it. With that said it should also be noted that this is a steam espresso maker. In day to day use I find that the stream wand is a little finicky to clean out, so I don't use it very often. However I do love that this machine makes four cups of good strong dark coffee and is fast. The footprint is also reasonably small for all the other people out there with a million kitchen appliances they are trying to make room for. This little maker beats the pants off of k-cup machines and is similarly convenient.
So far we're really enjoying this espresso machine. It makes the perfect amount for two cups of espresso that we've been using for every day. Instructions are pretty simple and works pretty quickly. The only issue I had was with the steamer feature for cappuccino. We tried two times and the milk went everywhere! We're going to buy a frother cup/pitcher and see if that works better. Other than that, it's a handy little machine that doesn't take up too much space on the counter and does its job. One feature I wish it had is that it had an automatic turn-off feature. You have to turn the knob for every function including turning it off. Not a deal breaker but if I had a choice, I'd purchase one that offered that feature instead. Overall happy with it.
I would give this machine a 3.5, but that is not an option. This is a good starter espresso and cappuccino maker. It does not seem built for heavy usage for a long time. For the price, it is a good option, but if you are an espresso and cappuccino connoisseur, then you probably will not be happy with this machine. If you are a casual user, it is perfect. The coffee is not really strong enough for my taste based on the suggested usage.
This espresso and cappuccino maker is easy to use. Only took a couple mins to set up and follow instructions. It's a nice size, saving space on the counter. It makes a pretty good espresso for a lower cost machine. I have not used the frother yet. Definitely a nice option to have without breaking the bank. "I was so excited with this IMUSA espresso & cappucino maker when I received it. It is incredibly easy to use and doesn't take up much room in my kitchen corner. It makes a rich, great cup of coffee and can make up to 4 cups. Best part about it for me is the frother. I live for the steamed milk froth I can add to my coffee. If you're looking for a reliable coffee maker that gets the job done I can highly recommend this IMUSA
It took me tries to understand how to do it. I am use to using pods or instant coffee. Why did it take me tries, because I've never used a machine like this. Once I got the hang of it, I made a pretty decent espresso machine. My family enjoyed it as well! I recommend this for any coffee lover, where you can use a variety of brands and flavors.
I don't like that it is smaller that I thought it will be, also it is to fragile. I own another Imusa expresso machine and it was more sturdy construction. I will return this coffee machine if I could, but I already used it and I feel bad about doing it. I will love to get one like the other one that I had. Sorry about this bad review, but you asked me. I told you the truth.
I've tried the machine a few times. It serves its purpose if you're looking for basic espresso/cappuccinos but if you're used to cafe style coffee, you will need to upgrade to a better setup. It doesn't have the right amount of pressure to make a cafe quality coffee.
