Perhaps a defective unit from a good brand
The silicone gasket was a little bit small, but enough to leak steam and hot water. I don't think is problem of the IMUSA brand. I have had a smaller one (3 servings) for years and haven't had any problem. I wanted to exchange it, but the only option was a refund w/o returning the pot. I didn't want to donate it because of the leak, but did not wanted to throw it away either. I ordered new gaskets and they are slightly larger and do seal the pot. Neither steam nor hot water leak now.

Waste of Money!
So disappointed that this did not last even 6 months. The funnel where the coffee grounds go broke. It's not made like the funnel in my decade old smaller version as you can see in the pictures.

Fabulous Esresso Maker
This espresso maker is fabulous. The larger design keeps the handle from overheating. The espresso is ready quickly and it's delicious. I haven't had any problems with stuck or cheaply made parts. This is the best espresso maker I've had in a long time.

this is the best coffee maker hands down!!! I Love the way it makes it taste, I had a small one and now I've got the big one once you've tried it like this you immediately understand why everyone in other countries has one lol :)

Handle seem cheap
The metal portion of this coffee maker is good. The handle seems cheap and bends easily even when on the shelf. I would think about this one.

Love it
I love this item even though i had to get it replaced it arrived with a broken handle. But the coffee in this is richer stronger and it really easy to work with

Coffee taste great
Love this! Only thing is I wish I would have ordered the bigger one as this only makes an expresso for 1 person. The coffee taste really good and it's very easy to use and clean

Nice espresso maker ffee......well made
Nice espresso maker for less than $10.Well made. A cups of espresso is not like 9 cups of coffee......makes about 1.5 to 2 cups of coffees sized cups.

One small flaw
Pros - makes delicious expresso - really extracts the flavor out teas Cons - Have to lift the top open when pouring or else it leaks around the sides and spills if you don't mind that then go for it - small wish it were larger
