Imusa Aluminum 2-Quart Chocolatera, Silver

I had a Boss , she was born in Colombia, and she would receive me with an Arepa and a cup of hot cocoa, which was made on one of these “chocolateras”. I looked for one the same, many years and how funny that Walmart was selling them. I love Imusa products! I also have a “comal” from Imusa, also great product!

The quality of the item is as cost effective as. It is not super study but it is perfect for holding kitchen utensils.

In one word: Awesome! While I have Mexican hot chocolate in my cupboard for a while - I hadn't had the chance to make it. Fast forward to receiving this pitcher: and it was the best opportunity to give it a try. First, I heated up the milk (which went surprisingly well with this tool) and then I put in the chocolate. The chocolate melted nicely in the milk and tasted great! The cleanup was minimal - which was surprising, because I was expecting the milk to stick to the sides. Nope! A quick wash and dry and it is ready for the next culinary adventure. This is a fun and useful tool to have!

Worked really well as a great big gravy dispenser for Thanksgiving crowd. Sturdy, easy to clean and stands solidly on table. It did not have a lid in the description, so I do not know why that was included in the rating.

The material isn't really strong I use it to make chocolate milk and it got a lot of the milk stuck on the sides, didn't really work and after first wash some of the (whatever) thing it's cover with start coming off, not really my best purchase . But if you want to give it a try go for it.

I've never used a chocolatera before, nor had I ever heard of one prior to this. My family enjoys hot chocolate, especially during this cooler weather, so I thought this could be nice to use. It does keep the drink warm: I only wish that the size of the pitcher were a little bigger, especially since I would love to use it for cold drinks as well. It's good quality and it's easy to clean.

I received this Imusa 2 Qt Aluminum Traditional Hot or Cold Choocolatera Pitcher as a free sample to review. This pitcher is ok. It is very basic. I used it for hot chocolate once, and it served its purpose. I wish it would have kept what was left in the pitcher warm, but with thin aluminum and no lid, it got cold very quickly. The next time I used it was just to pour ice water, and it worked find for that. I don't really see any benefit to having this pitcher over another.

Unfortunately, the material was a little flimsy than I thought. However, I decided to keep and try it and all I did was put water in it and somehow it's spraying a hole in it. At least I was able to return it with Walmart.
