Solid construction. I assembled up my new cat scratcher. It is extremely sturdy and has sisal fabric instead of sisal rope wrapped around. The fabric is higher quality construction. Most importantly, my cat likes it and is using it instead of going after my chairs. YES!

Wonderfully made ,well balanced ,cute too(even nicer in person than photo).....Bought it for my new kitten because its not "too tall" for a little one so I was not looking for sturdiness or great construction and to my surprise it is much more than I expected for such a good price! Immediately my 2 adult cats were attracted to it and gave it a good beating,it never toppled over once-this is a really nice scratching post ,all 3 kitties love it!

Large and sturdy. Great for larger and heavier cats. I did have a bit of trouble getting the top piece screwed on, but it finally was attached. The burlap is so much better than carpet and sisal. 5 cats in the house so I'm in need of another one. Hopefully, I can purchase another one soon.

Great scratching pole, my cat loves it. The base could be a little more heavier. It always seems to tip over every time my cat uses it

This scratching post is nice. The only problem is that it is too small for my cats. They use it but pull it over. It might be helpful is the info on the website said it was for small cats

We have 3 cats and they LOVE this post! The post itself well made, the only problem is that after 8 months the bottom separated from the base because it seemed to be glued on and fell over. BUT my husband drilled a few screws in, and it is as good as new. The post itself is still like new, so it should last now!

Seems like it should be taller. The base is way too light. It has fallen over twice and now 1 cat is afraid of it.

Base is smaller than it needs to be to keep the scratcher steady with vigorous use from the cats, wabbles and falls easily.

My cat is drawn to the post and likes scratching away. Item tips over easily. Not sure if this would be a great option for a larger cat than my kitten? Materials are from the lower end of the spectrum so this post won't last long but provides my kitten with what is needed at a lower price point.
