This works great! I don't have to drag the ironing board out in my tiny sewing room (plus I dont have to chase 3 cats off of it!)

The ironing mat is Awesome. I have no room for an ironing board so it does the job. I take the ironing mat with me when I travel, just fold it up and use whatever ready.

I like that it fits in my counter and has a place for my iron. Saves me from moving my ironing board in and out of the kitchen as I'm working on my quilt tops. So convenient.

My old ironing mat wore out so I got this one. The size is ok but it doesn't have any non-skid on the underside. Every time I move the iron on it the mat moves too. I don't care for the iron rest. It's in the way.

The large size is nice. But the material is not heavy enough, moves around too much, while ironing.

Needs something to hold it in place

I purchased this for craft room use as it was lower in cost. As another reviewer noted, the creases don't seem to iron out or smooth out, and ironing something over them adds the cover's crease to what you're trying to iron. It only arrived today and I've only tried it once, so I haven't decided whether I'll return it or not just yet. It will probably work OK for craft use, but I would not keep it for ironing clothing. I would pay a little more for a better one. The mat was folded into 16ths so it would fit into a smaller package but that resulted in one continuous crease/fold down the length of it, and 3 creases across that. They just won't smooth out. Or didn't with my heavy-handed and intentional attempts to iron them out. It's a generous size, not very thick but will probably protect a table while ironing one garment. It does have a cheap vinyl back. Absolutely proves the old saying "You get what you pay for." Again, for my craft use it may prove to be ok, but it is a disappointment.
