I’ve been using the Instant Pot 8Qt RIO Chef Series 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker for a few weeks now, and it has completely changed how I cook. The 8-quart capacity is perfect for family meals or meal prepping for the week — I can easily fit a whole chicken, large stews, or several portions of rice and vegetables in one batch. The pressure-cook function works fast and evenly, and the slow-cook mode gives tender, flavorful results without the need to constantly check on the food. I also love the sauté feature, which saves me from using extra pans. Cleaning is super easy since the inner pot and lid are dishwasher-safe, and the non-stick surface prevents food from sticking. It’s user-friendly, quiet, and feels sturdy. The sleek black design looks great on the counter, and the control panel is simple to navigate.
I have used this more than any other cooking apparatus, and I have many. I haven't used the oven since purchasing this instant pot. I did purchase the largest available and was able to cook an almost 7lb. whole chicken in 40 minutes and it was fall of the bone tender and juicy aswell!
I will never go without an instant pot again. I used to be scared of them and actually tossed my first one out from fear. But I decided to try it again when I got into making bone broths and didn’t want to wait 24 hours for 1 batch. It was easy to figure out and set up … I use it every day. I’ve cooked a frozen chuck roast in 90 minutes and it was falling apart, whole chickens in 30 minutes, cabbage in 5 minutes, rich bone broths in 2 hours, and more. You won’t regret buying it. I even dreamed one night that something happened to it and was running to the store for another one.
My wife loves it. We had the smaller one and the lid would not close up after 4 years of use, my wife loves the extra room and uses it for a lot of out meals. The only thing she noticed was that the metal thing, (i don't know what it's called), that goes inside, I think to hold things up from the bottom, is the same size as our smaller one, so your kind of stuck if you have to rely on that. Otherwise, perfect.
I own one of these cookers, so I bought one for my elderly aunt. She needed something to cook quick meals for herself as she lives on her own and doesn’t take the time to make big meals. This will be a convenient way for her to cook for herself and eat better.
I own an instapot with an airfryer combination. Two different lids and smaller size. I wanted an additional pressure cooker/ rice/ sauté that was a larger quart size. That I could cook two different entrees at once. I was worried about the brand. I have to say it has definitely impressed me with how well it has cooked different recipes. Easy to clean. The lid is user friendly for ease of fast release for pressure cooking.
love the instant pot. seems well made burned up old presure cooker after 2 years. this one is nicer. I was puzzled why in store purchase was A higher then the price online. I was in the store after looking at it on line and was $20.00 more. ordered it on line and picked up at same store 2 hours later. exact same item. "Curious"?
I was waiting forever for a good 4-quart Instant Pot and was thrilled when I ran across this one! I already own several Instant Pots now, but they're all the larger versions, so for my hard-boiled eggs and rice I've been using an older (pre–Instant Pot) electronic pressure cooker and it was pretty wore out. The bowl is wider and shorter and while I use it often for my rice and boiled eggs, I've found it works great for smaller pasta meals in it. I really love this one!
They no longer use a stainless steel pot it’s now a nonstick surface like Teflon and just a matter of time until the forever chemicals enter the food.
I have owned this for exactly four months and it has stopped working. It will build pressure but once timer starts it just stays at the time you have it set at instead of counting down. My last pressure cooker was a different brand and I loved it and had it for many years. It also took less time getting to pressure and cooked faster. Super bumbed!!
