You can use this steamer for your instant pot or you can use it in a normal pan. Either way you choose you will not be disappointed. It fits perfectly in just about anything and the veggies come out perfect. They are not to soft or to hard. They are just perfect. The Instant Pot steamer basket makes steaming vegetables so much easier. it helps steam broccoli in the time it takes for the Instant Pot to get up to pressure.

This works great in my 6 quart pressure cooker. I use it for steaming veggies and hard cooked eggs. My PC has a non stick finish, so I chose a silcone steamer basket over a metal basket.

I bought this to use with a silicon popcorn popper we already owned, to use it as a microwave steamer. It's worked nicely, as it fits like it was made for it. The four creases, or folds, make it so it can be easily scrunched down into the popper with the fingers. The fold over handles then allow the popper lid to fit, while also adding support to it to keep it from drooping downwards. The bowl shape allows for any condensed water to flow downwards to drain. The four legs keep it off the bottom. I like that it's dishwasher safe. I would have preferred a clear or less intense color, but I get the green as it's typical use might be veggies. So far we've steamed microwave sausage %26 biscuits, to carrots, and nibblet corn on the cob with this combo and been very pleased with the results. Ran it through one dishwasher cycle. Only had it a week or so, thus can't speak to long term durability/quality...

The other one I just bought from your brand (month ago) had the leg come off - not unusual for stainless models - but then they are rendered useless. I looked for silicone one and Insta-pot had one available, not a bad price considering, baring natural disaster, I should not have to replace it ever - they even have lifetime warranty on it.

Overall I like this item. I use it inside the Instant Pot to steam and ferment. I used to use a metal steaming basket, but it started rusting. This is silicone, so it's easier to clean, and I don't have to worry about rust. One time the top of the handles got in between the pot and the lid, so the lid didn't seal too well. Once I remembered to put the handles inside the lid before closing it, it worked great.

It's a little smaller than I thought it would be but still bigger and better than the one I had. well made and easy handles on it.

I bought this hoping it would fit more than just my Insta. It has an unusual shape due to the two side gussets. It will fit a larger pan, but trying to place in a smaller saucepan will be tricky as those gussets don't compress much, even though it is silicone.

The only problem I have with this steamer basket is the height (sides) of it are too short for what I intended to use it for. I was going to do a few batches of hand made fresh “Tamales” and they need support from the side to keep them mostly upright within the pot for best results. It will work great for other purposes though!

the handles are too long and get in the way. they decrease the size for use. I like the one I had before. it was open and had small handles. perfect. but, I accidentally burnt it.
