This cpu works great and the price is right

Works perfectly under heavy usage. Wished they protected it more in the shipping process, my heart sank when I opened it and noticed the box itself was slightly crushed. But nonetheless, it is a working product.

I decided to try Intel 12th gen for my latest build after having used AMD for my previous 2 builds (most recently from an AMD 3600). I typically forgo the top end components when doing a new PC build in favor of mid range components where you can often get 90-95% of the performance of a top end CPU while paying about half the cost. With that being said, this 12600KF CPU has thoroughly impressed me and proved to be a significant upgrade over my previous AMD 3600. I have multiple monitors and am easily able to play AAA games (Forza Horizon 5, MS Flight Sim as examples) at 1440p on my primary monitor while using my other monitor for browsing and discord with no noticeable decline in performance. I am also a frequent user of Handbrake, which is used for converting videos to other formats/sizes to be used in devices which were not otherwise compatible with the initial video. The 12600KF easily powers through any tasks I assign it using all of its cores and threads. Exactly what I was looking for. Power usage was much lower than expected, despite being a 125W CPU I observed the CPU using HWMonitor rarely go over 65W during gaming and casual usage, only when facing the all core CPU intensive applications like Handbrake conversions did it need to stretch its legs and use the full 125W TDP its rated for. This CPU does not include a cooler due to its 'K' designation so don't forget to purchase one. My only gripe with the this purchase actually had nothing to do with the CPU itself. Walmart.com shipped the CPU in its retail carton inside of a padded enveloped; it did not hold up well and the retail carton was crushed on several sides. Luckily, the CPU itself seemed fine and hasn't had issues. Still, I have probably ordered 30 CPU's over the last 20 years for various builds for myself or friends and that was the first time I have ever seen a CPU shipped in a padded envelope and not a separate box. Deducting rating points for the subpar shipping method didn't seem fair as its not any fault of the product, just wanted to mention it.
