I bought the JB weld because I had bought a set of metal shelves from Temu and the shelves are lattice work attached to a frame. I just wasn't sure that I trusted the welds, so I immediately thought of JB Weld because I have used it for many other projects and saw my dad using it since I was like five, The repairs are always very strong, and the full cure time is only 15-24 hours at room temp, and less if out in the sun.
Sticks to almost anything, including your fingers, so don't waste a lot of time before you wash, .. before it dries and becomes much more difficult. Once you shape it and apply just dip your fingers in water and you can easily rub it and make the surface smooth. Once it hardens it is HARD like a rock! .. and almost indestructible. I use it on a fairly regular basis, sort of my "go to" Epoxy like putty, or paste, whatever you want to call it. It doesn't shrink and you can drill or sand. One interesting thing is that because it contains metal magnets stick to it, for what that is worth. Example is if you have a cabinet where the magnets don't quite reach the area needed you can make up the difference with just a little dab.
i love this two part solid epoxy. You can easily join different materials very securely. JB Weld stick is extremely strong and you can easily rebuild areas broken off or missing and build up areas for strength. the material holds very strong and when applied correctly you will end up with a stronger joint or break than the original item. Mix to a uniform grey color and apply while sticky. As the epoxy sets, you can shape the material for a smooth uniform repair using heavier amounts fo areas needing extra strength. I always have a stick of this epoxy available. I have also found the JB Weld version to be far superior to other varieties of this two part epoxy.
It Works Well with many Things But When It Comes to You Things That Need to Be Re Welding Like The Wrought Iron Chair with Mesh Seat I fixed and seems to be Perfect But The Next day when I sat on it Besides that I fixed my Broken Frame on My Glasses and the Fix worked Great for a long time till I bought new Glasses
I have used this for years. My first experience, years ago, was repairing a leaking engine block. I prepped the area and applied a patch of this and the engine is still running today. With this tube, I repaired a small engine block with a crack the same way. Fantastic stuff.
I've bought this on several different metal to metal projects works great. Just make sure you follow the directions are it won't work as it should. Great name brand product.
I am more used to the two tubes. But this is okay too. Putty and hardener in center. Can just smush around to mix. Imagine just as good. J B Weld is some good strong stuff.
after taking all ptecautions, cleaning and sanding the side of the tank that had been drilled, I took about 1/3 of the tube and kneaded it as per the instructions, placed some of it in the hole itself, then generously placed a bit on the outside of the tank to wait. 1/2 hr later it was completely dry and set. So, I went to the gas station put 2 gallons of gas in it and waited...and waited...am still waitin! its been 2 1/2 weeks since I repaired it,..NO LEAKS AT ALL!! Thank you J%26B weld!!
This was a substitute for the two-tube set I am used to using. It does have a cap that goes on and off quickly but leaves a mess. The black portion of the mix had bubbles in it and did not distribute evenly. Only thing made easier was locating the one item instead of looking for two. Not my first choice but will due in a pinch.
I would love to review the item, but I never received it. Rather than give me a refund, Walmart had the balls to ask me to RETURN the item in order to get the refund. Kind of hard to return an item the driver never delivered. I was missing half my order. Some items were refunded. Others I was asked to return, even though I didn't have them because I didn't receive. Horrible.
