Jack Post Country Garden Glider Bench with Trays in Bronze Steel Frame

I am very pleased with my purchase of this wood glider. I bought it for our camp and it is very easy to move around. I didn't want anything to large or cumbersome to deal with while camping. It's smooth and comfortable. I purchased two outdoor chair cushions; which, there is a little space on either side of the cushion. It's difficult to find chair cushions to fit perfect, but they work just fine. There is "a lot" of hardware. You have to screw together all the boards, but it's not difficult, just a little time consuming. I put this together in my living room. If you choose to put it together outside, make sure you have a solid surface so that you don't lose any of the hardware. The instructions were easy to follow and all the hardware is divided up into individual bags and noted in the instructions. I definitely recommend this swing. I did spray it down with pledge as suggested in the instructions as it had been oiled and was there was a little residue left.

I LOVE my Jack Post glider! It is so beautiful and so smooth and silent while gliding on it. It came sooner than expected and was fairly easy to assemble. I did it my self in just a couple hours. I have never put together anything like this. I was missing 1 screw, cap and spacer so I called the company who sent me all the parts within a couple days. They were very friendly and easy to work with. Excellent product and well worth the price!

I first saw this bench in person at a garden center out of town. I tried it out and wanted to buy it, but it was $200. So I snapped a pic of the manufacturer and model number and looked it up when I got home and was thrilled to see it here for $80 less. Well, I couldn't resist that price plus the free shipping. It did take my husband about 2 1/2 hours to put together, but it was worth all the effort. It is great!

This bench was easy to essemble and had good instructions. Took about two hours by myself. It is very nice looking and sturdy. Love the side tables for drinks. I also bought outdoor pads to sit on. It is comfortable without but is better with the cushion. Bought it for the front porch area. Great price for this bench compared to others at 100.00 to two hundred more. Just what I wanted for years.

Bought this to replace a redwood glider I sold before a cross country move. That one looked much like this one and I loved it. Not sure if it was made by the same company. This glider is not redwood. It's some kind of exterior hardwood. All the parts, lots and lots of them, were included in multiple bags. Took forever to inventory the parts. Packed well. No damage in shipping to Walmart for store pickup. The instructions said to go over the wood with an oil based stain to protect all the surfaces. First of all, finding an old-school oil based stain was a challenge. Found it on the Home Depot site after I had purchased locally what was an oil stain with water clean up. I didn't like that stain but used it anyway. I'm finicky about my wood surfaces so I hand sanded every piece before staining. There was already some kind of finish on the wood and even after sanding, not much was absorbed by the wood. One reviewer used Pledge. I wanted redwood stain. Assembly took a good four hours, working alone, including sanding and my silly mistakes. All was good until I tried to put on the seat slats. The holes wouldn't line up. Here's my tip for this part of the assembly... don't tighten/loosen the bolts that hold the metal seat supports to the glider frame. I grunted and groaned trying to attach the slats until that occurred to me. Duh. Once I loosened those, everything lined up easily. Many of the screws/bolts look alike. 1 1/2 inch, 1 5/8 inch. I suggest you separate them and label the piles. Makes it easier to grab the right ones. Once assembled, the glider moves very smoothly and has a nice length to the glide. No squeaks. The wood creaks when we sit on the glider but that seems to be the norm. I did buy a seat cushion from Walmart, Better Homes and Gardens red stripe. It fits the glider well enough and is sufficient padding for my bottom. Bought a house with a good sized front porch a year ago and had visions of putting a glider on it. My dream came true with this glider, enjoying my morning smoothies rocking the time away in the lovely weather.

I am very pleased with glider it looks good and sits good and the shelves on both ends are nice.It takes about 2 hours to put together but all screws and bolts are labeled very well.I would buy again.

I just bought a house with a front porch. I can't wait to be able to go out there with my morning coffee and sit on my glider. I bought this one because it will be perfect for what I was looking for and the reviews were good. If I can, I will update this review once I've had a chance to put it together and try it out.

We purchased this glider for our front courtyard, and are pleasantly surprised at the quality. The glider is very sturdy and well-built. We will use it daily for our morning coffee. Very easy to build - the hardware came in separate packages , well marked, made it easier and faster to assemble. I would highly recommend this product.

We love this elegant glider, BUT the bolts & screws were sent in a disorderly way with labels that did not match the instructions. So you have to hold the bolts up to the instructions to determine if it's a 50mm or 52mm bolt, etc. All said and done, there were four bolts that were incorrect. The missing ones are for either the slats or the drink trays. We need to find out if the manufacturer will send us the 4 necessary bolts to complete the glider correctly... this review is possibly to be continued...

It's nice won't last forever but looks good for now. The quality is average I caught it on sale I wouldn't have paid full price for it. Putting it together would have been easier with better instructions.
