Customer Insights: Rated 4.5/5 from 2013 reviews.
I own a charge 3. I absolutely love it. 5 years on, its still going stong and looks like it came out of the box new. JBL build quality is second to none. Truly. Ive been debating whether to get the charge 4 or not .after reading several several...several reviews...i decided to pull the trigger. I was skeptical of the single driver which was a real turn off. After using it for a few months I see the difference (b/w the charge 3). So Pros: honestly, better bass and clarity over the charge 3. Where the 3 starts to distort a little at high volumes, the 4 is clear and crisp. Sound quality is fabulous. Build quality is again outstanding; to be tested over time tbh but everything feels nice. I have no doubt will give me years of fun. Pairing to a charge 3 is easy peasy n just gives the best experience. Cons: It still rubs me wrong that its a single driver. Some part of my brain can tell that and I know when I hear it that its just one. Maybe just a mental block. When I'm watching something n lost in it, I dont really register it tbh. I'm still glad I bought it. This is far better than anything bose or ultimate 3. why? Its near indestructible, will look new 5 years on, waterproof and lasts days and days. I've compared the sound and where there is little difference in clarity, the bass of the JBL takes it and then all the other factors seal it (quality, waterproof, batt life). I hope the charge 5 will be a dual driver. Listen up JBL!
I got this for christmas and im so happy with this speaker, amazing bass and amazing sound quality. The only thing is that the bass fades on the higher volumes, but overall it's an amazing speaker with amazing futures.
I purchased this speaker for use both at home and whilst I was on my boat. I wanted something that allowed me to have a great sound when playing music outside therefore with good quality at higher volume A Great Purchase at a great price
Love these speakers. They look and sound great. Apparently, we aren't the only ones, because someone stole this out of my husband's work truck when he stopped at the grocery store and forgot to roll up his window. Unusual for where we live. Sadly, he only had it for about 3 days.
I've read every kind of review about the Charge 4 and have come to a realisation about the naysayers: they are impossible to please. The charge 4 is stylish, bassy and the sound is great for me. If you have a problem with the output sound it's probably the source. I love it. Best Bluetooth speaker I've owned so far
Bought it refurbished but looked brand new. At first I was disappointed with the sound, but after a quick Google search I found it may need the firmware updating. I did that and now it sounds great. Very bassy in small spaces.
I had seen good reviews about the Charge 4 but when you listen to it for real, it is so good. Everyone I show it to loves it. My Alexa is always connected to it.
I bought this a month a go and am sooo happy with it. Color looks the same on the picture, loveee it! And The sound quality is amaaaaazing! Also it was a great idea that it can charge ur phone as well. I would love to recommend this.
It's JBL, so you know the quality is there, but the sound is not remarkable. I listened to two other popular brands and the JBL Charge 4 struck a balance between the boomy bass of one brand and exaggerated highs of another brand. It feels solid and is well designed and no problems connecting to Bluetooth.
It doesn't work. It won't connect won't stay charged. In order to get it to turn on for a few minutes it has to be plugged up. We have 3 and this is the only one we've had issues out of. I'm going to try and return or exchange it.
