JBL Charge 5 - Portable Waterproof Speaker with Powerbank - Black

Honestly I just needed something loud enough to be heard over the sound of my freightliner roaring at me 11 hours a day. I mostly used my various speakers to listen to podcasts and audiobooks until now. I had the JBL Flip for years but it finally kicked the bucket, and I had the little JBL clippy gimmick I bought as a spare(it wasnt lound enough to easily hear my audiobooks so it sits in a drawer at home). I decided just to go big or go home. This thing is LOUD loud, with excellent noise quality. I actually enjoy listening to music again. The only negative, if you can call it that, is that the battery is drastically reduced if you use the speaker to its full audio capacity. When I listen to my audiobooks at mid volume I get almost the complete advertised runtime, but if I play high-volume bass-thumping jams I only get like 6 hours maybe. Not really a problem for me, but its worth mentioning. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

This little speaker puts outta a lot of sound for its size. This is my second speaker of the same brand I now have a 5 and a 6...The battery life is better than most little speakers I have. I love at the beach so it's great that it can get a little wet and handles the heat well. Battery has a good life.

the speaker is great !! great value of money for the quality you receive. the battery lasts for what feels like forever. i used it for a full day on the lake and it still had a lot of charge left.

This little boomer sound tube worked well and sounded better than the international truck radio. Plus I could hear my blue tooth programs over the truck and road noise.

I just received this little powerful speaker a couple of days ago. So I can’t attest to the battery life yet, but it is really great sound quality! Has a nice base and I’m enjoying it thus far!! 🤘🎸

I never had a JBL speaker before and bought this as a gift, it has so much power, I always thought other brands had good quality and performance but this is another level , sound is so clear and a lot of power from a rather small speaker, I dont have to worry about carrying large speakers.

i work in a super noisy warehouse...with forklifts,p.js,wrappers,walkies and people making all different kinda sounds. i used to take the jbl clip and also an essential Go but i needed something a bit bigger and this speaker is perfect. i love it. the only thong im noticing is i shouldve gotten the one with a strap or handle maybe..as it is i just carry it in my backpack to n from work. thanks!!

I now have 2 of these and thinking of getting a few more. What I love the most is that you turn one on, then turn the other one on. Hit the infinity symbol on both speakers, it’s now party mode (additional speakers don’t have to be paired to your device so if your friends have one of these, they can add theirs to the party mode). You can connect up to 100 of these speakers together AND they connect via BlueTooth to your smart TV. Great value. If you’re thinking of getting this, I highly suggest waiting for them to go on sale and save some $$. $150 isn’t a bad price compared to the Ultimate Ears Boom MegaBlast at $250 which doesn’t have party mode.

It's a great little portable speaker I take with me to different locations, mostly around my house. It's plenty loud for my needs, and I do play it a little loud. If I play it any loader, I'll disturb my neighbors. The sound quality seems to be pretty good right out of the box. I haven't had to download the equalizer app but I will eventually too also get any updates. The only two downsides are that it doesn't have a carry strap, and sometimes it just stops (no sound) while video is still playing on my phone. When this happens, I have to shut it off and restart it. That's a little frustrating when I have to stop what I'm doing and go restart it.

The clarity of this bluetooth speaker outdoors is insane its loudness is great despite all this noise that happens outside. the only downfall is the price but when youre paying for a name brand its worth it.
