JBL Flip 5 - Portable Waterproof Speaker - Teal

Indoors it sounds amazing. Outdoors also sounds amazing. The amount of bass coming from this water bottle sized speaker is surprising. The sound is clear and gets very loud. The lack of an audio-in port, stereo sound and microphones isn't a big deal to me but can be to others, and PartyBoost also isn't a big deal since this is the first JBL speaker I own. I would recommend this speaker to anyone whose budget is around 100$ and 150$.

We got this beautiful personalized speaker for a gift and it was beautiful. The colors were bright and it turned out perfect! Our fried loves turtles, and a week after her birthday, she went to the beach and saw a sea turtle come in from the ocean, dig and lay her eggs, then head out back. It will be a wonderful memory everyone she plays her speaker!

I had this product to test and what a great sound quality from something so small, it's loud and crisp with a great bass range and I was really surprised because if I'm honest when I first got it out of the box I thought this isn't going to be up to much! How wrong can you be, it is easy to connect via Bluetooth to your phone/tablet, it has great portability and with it being waterproof I was able to sit it safely on the side of the hot tub and relax to my favourite tunes which was brilliant as the Bluetooth speaker on my tub no longer works. The battery indicator lets you see when it will soon need recharging, it seems to last a long time between charges, I only charged it once in the 4 weeks I have been using it. It comes very well packaged and I would highly recommend this product to anyone that said I do feel that it is a little expensive, things move so fast these days that no doubt a newer more advanced model won't be long coming.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend as a birthday present as he had lost his JBL charger 3,he was so happy with the speaker and loved that it was a smaller size, one he could carry everywhere!

The personalized speaker was so beautiful! My husband loved it when he opened it on Father’s Day. The speaker is very loud and is perfect when we’re outside in the pool.

I bought this speaker about two years ago, this past just we had it on our roof top watching fireworks and listening to music. I accidentally left it on the rooftop from July and found the speaker in November. In those month it had rained, hailed, high winds. In my mind I thought that I would have to buy a new jbl flip speaker, I rapped in a blanket for about two days. Remarkably, when I turned on the speaker it turned on, it is still in great shape…thank you JBL for making a great product!

I have now tried Flip 5 one week. At first I tought it was a little thin sound, but after some time it played very good. The bass is good even the sice is small. I have used it on a vacation and I used it on the beach, on the Paddle court and at the pool. It gives me great sound everywhere. My boys loved it when they played in the pool. It's great that it is waterproof. But I think it had been nice with a little cover over the charging hole, so you don't get any sand in there. There's a nice strap to carry it, so it's easy to take it with you anywhere. If you want a big sound I think you should buy a bigger one. But as a travelmate it's greate, and Flip5 makes every place a partyplace.

Impressed - first Bluetooth speaker from this brand. The speaker is slighter lighter compared to a previous brand I use also with same battery life if not more... . It looks okay not absolutely sure if much difference to previous model in looks, and don't really understand the use of the app I downloaded for speaker as no settings can be changed. I am currently using this daily in Egypt on my holiday by the pool and also in the room whilst getting ready, I must say the mid range and base is very good and I am impressed, as I do love my music, I do like the fact it's waterproof as I have been taking into the shower not worrying about steam or bit of a splash etc as I previously did with different Bluetooth speakers. I have recommended to others already and would say the it's suited to anyone who loves music loud and wirelessly! Would like to link a couple together also , first time with JBL Bluetooth speaker and won't be the last, good job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This newer JBL flip 5 is much louder then the flip 4 when I compared them. It also has more bass. And now it's a little bigger then the 4. The flip 5 also now has a usb type C port vs the older model not having this type. What I don't like that made me give 4 stars is the fact they took away the speaker feature that let's you use it as a speaker phone and the alexa feature. It also looks tougher then the 4 if you was to drop it. This one has a waterproof of IPX7 and a battery life of 12 hours playtime which is great. But besides that I think it's a nice Improvement over the flip 4.
