Highly recommended! 10/10 for sound & battery life

DJ Mutembz December 27, 2023

As an avid user of the Sony WH-1000XM4's, I was keen to find some new headphones which I could use to DJ as my Sennheiser's are on their last legs. I was keen on something modern, light, portable and with noise cancelling features. I also wanted something wireless to remove the possibility of wires being entangled or pulling long cables when djing. These JBL TOUR ONE M2 did just what I needed and then some. There is a dedicated app available to use, control and customise the headphones to your own sound preferences which is extremely handy as I prefer a bass driven sound so I adjusted the sound to match my needs. The EQ balance within the app is a great feature and even at low volume you can still hear the driving bass sounds in every track (an important feature for a house music DJ like me). There is a USB C cable supplied for charging and also a 3.5mm audio cable if you prefer not to connect wirelessly using the Bluetooth feature. The headphones are lightweight and comfortable even when worn over an extended duration and I particularly like the padded leather strip where the headphones sit on your head – makes them more comfortable. The closed cups are also made of leather with lovely padding inside for added comfort and they sit well on your ears thanks to the adjustable strap on the headphones – meaning I can give them to my daughter when I'm not using them, and she can adjust them to fit her head/ears. The noise cancellation feature is superb – and it was the first time I had used adaptive ANC. You get to set just how much you sound you want to filter through, and you can also set it up so the headphones detect when you are having a conversation and the sound filters automatically! You can actually set the particular scenario you are in so the sound adjusts itself automatically! Then there's the Personal Sound Amplification feature where you can change the sound balance and have one ear louder than then other – what other headphones have you ever seen with this feature?? Amazing! I remember making several calls whilst in loud areas and a friend actually commented on the quality of the sound and the fact that they could hear me clearly and that the background noise was suitably suppressed. This is thanks to the 4-mic control feature. Another impressive feature was the battery life, and I counted a period of 4 days where I was using the headphones for my commute to work and back home and didn't need to charge them. Then finally there's the handy hard cover carry case which allowed me to travel with the headphones, neatly folded away and stuffed into my backpack without worrying about any potential damage. All in all, I highly recommend these headphones and I must say they definitely offer a strong competitive option to mu old Sony's. I am impressed and equally intrigues by how the JD TOUR ONE M2's are able to utilise technology to deliver a truly unique experience. Highly recommended!

JBL Tour One M2: Exceptional Noise-Cancelling and

Kristopher April 24, 2023

The JBL Tour One M2 wireless headphones are truly outstanding in every way. The noise-cancelling feature is superb, and it's a game-changer for listening in noisy environments. I particularly love using them on the couch in the evening when there's chatter around me, or when my partner is on the phone next to me, and the headphones block out all of the background noise perfectly. In addition to the excellent noise-cancelling, the battery life is outstanding, lasting over 40 hours on a single charge. This is a real advantage for long trips or extended listening sessions without needing to worry about running out of battery. The comfort level is also excellent. The ear cups are well-padded, and the headband is adjustable, making it easy to find the perfect fit. The headphones are also well-made and feel very sturdy, giving a sense of quality and durability. Overall, the JBL Tour One M2 headphones are an excellent choice for anyone looking for exceptional noise-cancelling, long battery life, and a comfortable, high-quality listening experience.

Great sound quality

Cathryn November 18, 2023

I am in love with these headphones. The design is simple but sleek, nothing fancy but professional looking. The position of the buttons and sensors are really easy to get used to and I love the skip track motion option. Alexa and Google work flawlessly for me, even with background noise and connection was straightforward. Comfort wise, they're fantastic. I use headphones for various activities including housework and excersise and even when bending forward they stayed on my head and needed very little adjusting. The sound quality is superb, I found myself zoning in on the different instruments and sounds and feeling submerged in the music. The noise cancelling works really well and using the app or the button on the headphones to switch between the different noise cancelling settings you can hear the difference. I love that you can personalise the sound using the personal sound amplification setting as well as the smart talk, although my only negative is that if you forget the smart talk is on and start singing, the music promptly stops, but the app is so easy to navigate that you can chnage the settings very easily. There's so much to play around with and the overall quality of sound has definitely made these my favourite pair of headphones I've tried so far.

Research Before You Buy!

iambigga September 27, 2024

FIRST I've spent a little time seeing how JBL ranks reviews, and yep, it's clear they prefer 5 Star Reviews at the top. I've ranked it 5 Star hoping people get an honest review. However, this Is Not A 5 Star Review! It's a: - 4 Star for sound (easy listening, not professional) - 3 Star for feature implementation - 1 Star for noise cancelling SECOND I was wondering how honest some of these reviews are. I think I found my answer. More on that in my answers below. I'll mark my doubts with an **. SOUND Firstly these are pretty good sounding headphones. They've have that rich JBL bass that I like. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you want a nice warm soundstage. **REFERENCE HEADPHONES Absolutely not! I saw a review from someone that mentioned they are an audio engineer of some sort and have replaced their high impedance reference headphones with these. This can't be a real review from a real audio engineer. If it was, it's probably best to steer clear of that reviewer here for any audio production needs. **USED FOR WIRELESS DJ MONITORING/MIXING Absolutely not! I saw another reviewer saying they wanted a wireless/Bluetooth solution to DJ, and they claimed these headphones were it. No, no, no. I've DJ'd for 30 years and bluetooth headphones DO NOT work to this day for live DJ'ing. They would only work if you mix in your headphones alone, not a live PA. Anyone with some audio knowledge knows about latency. These are bluetooth 5.3, not ultra low latency headphones (which exist). There's a delay! TOUCH CONTROL FEATURES - THEY'RE OH SO TOUCHY Had to turn off auto on/off detection. The slightest movement of the head and they would continuously beep or stop playing. I initially turned off other touch controls like play, pause etc. because the slightest touch would activate them. I've turned it back on and I'm just getting used to being careful with them. NOISE CANCELLING Yep they work and work well, HOWEVER there's a grumbling/static/interference noise that can happen in left and right headphones when noise cancelling is active. I end up turning it off. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO YOUR RESEARCH I looked at other reviews before buying these that mentioned the touchy touch controls and thought I'll just deal with. However I only found out after that there were other 3rd party review websites that mentioned the very off-putting noise distortion when in noise cancelling mode. Had I known this I definitely wouldn't have purchased these headphones.

The best headphones!!!!

wiseandglowing November 5, 2023

These JBL TOUR ONE M2 wireless headphones exceeded my expectations! First of all, I already own some wireless headphones and also earbuds, but can't say that I have been very happy with mine, so I was on a lookout for new headphones. Appearance: these headphones come in a very stylish case that has inner pocket for storing charging cables. The pocket is so discreet, that I only found it after whole week of using headphones! Headphones are very sturdy and well made. They look very expensive and stylish. Beautiful black colour with elegant metal trimmings. Headphones are easily paired with your phone and you just need to download JBL app to personalise your music experience. You can choose options such as: jass, studio, bass etc. Headphones have easily accessible and straightforward controls. You able able to lift your headphones off your ears to pause music. You can choose noise cancelling mode, that I really enjoyed when commuting to work on a crowded bus, or if you want to be aware of your surroundings, you can change setting to Ambient aware mode. I love that these headphones come with 2 cables, standard charging one and an audio cable, that you can use, so would be great to use on the plane, instead of cheapy flight headphones you get! Headphones can be paired with Alexa and Google for voice control, which is mind blowing!!! They have great battery life around 50 hours and they charge up very quick. As I said in the beginning of my review, these headphones massively exceeded my expectations, as on top of having brilliant sound, they are so easy to use and make enjoying music experience so much better!

Great set of headphones

sachy November 24, 2023

I've been using the JBL Tour One M2 headphones for about two months now, and I'm very impressed with them. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and they sound great. The noise cancellation is also excellent, it's been a lifesaver when I'm trying to focus on work and I'm look forward to using them on a plane next month. One of the things I love most about the headphones is the sound quality. The bass is deep and punchy, and the mids and highs are clear and crisp. I've listened to various sorts of music on these headphones, from relaxing piano to rock to hip-hop and house, and they've sounded really good on these genres. The noise cancellation has been excellent. I regularly go for walks near busy roads and I have used these at work in the office as well as at home for calls. These headphones do an excellent job of blocking out background noise, so I can focus on whatever I'm doing. The headphones are very comfortable to wear. The earcups are soft and padded, and the headband is adjustable so I was able to find a perfect fit. I've worn them for a few hours at a time comfortably. Overall, I'm very happy with my Tour One M2 headphones. They're a great pair of headphones for everyday use, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, high-quality pair of headphones with excellent noise cancellation. With really long battery life, these are very practical too, so go ahead and get yourself a pair!

Well built Headphones with some downside

fdsm3 May 11, 2023

I got them now for almost two weeks and have been fairly satisfied. The headphones come with a practical Travel Case which is not the most compact one I've seen as it's quite thick in comparison to other headphone travel cases out on the market. The Case is good and functional and comes with a pouch inside where you can easily store your cables and adapters for the headphones. Coming to the headphones themselves: First of all, the build quality is excellent, the headphones look and feel very premium with the glossy finish and the soft padding around the ears. All the buttons are very clicky and I find it very convenient that the power button is a switch and not a button like on other headphones. They are a bit heavier than other competitors but still lightweight. One thing I noticed are the smaller earcups in comparison to other headphones I've worn. That also reflects in the overall soundstage. I experienced the sound stage being more on the narrow side. Speaking of sound, out of the box the JBL Tour One M2 are tuned towards lightly emphasized bass and highs where latter in my opinion is a bit overdone. Luckily with the JBL Headphones App you can personalize the overall sound to your likings. When removing a little bit of the highs and lower bass frequencies while also boosting a bit the mids the headphones are in a good position soundwise. I also find it quite nice that you can choose which exact Frequency you want to equalize. With that, the headphones deliver a quite impressive low end around 40Hz. There are plenty of functions available via the App, but I barely used the Spatial Sound feature as it boosts some higher mid frequencies and makes voices sound weird. But the spatial aspect of it is really working besides the weird sound. Noise Cancelling: It can't keep up with the best out there on the market but it is very effective in canceling out continous noises. One thing I noticed is that the earphones screech sometimes when the microphones are (maybe?) at their limit. That happend twice until now and wasn't really pleasing for my ears. The AmbientAware Feature is also very helpful when walking around and can be set to different levels through the app. Only the TalkThru Function is making the voices sound like being on a phone call, so I almost never use that. Maybe this can be further improved in the future? Furthermore I experienced the wearing detection being unreliable sometimes, as it somehow struggles to detect me wearing the headphones so the touch controls are somehow disabled. Then I need to take them off and put them on again to make that work. Maybe long hair is a problem? :D Another downside would be that the AUX Input on the headphones is somehow smaller than the usual 3,5mm. Adding to that would be the lack of high quality codecs for Bluetooth Transmission. On my Google Pixel 6a I only get to use AAC which I assume is the best codec available for the JBL Tour One M2. Maybe a better codec such as aptX or LDAC would have been nice to see on such high end earphones. Overall quite a good pair of headphones with the possibility to personalize the sound to your likings, while missing out on some things which I would expect in that price range such as the audio codec or a normal 3,5mm to 3,5mm cable for wired transmission. Also the need of an app to get to use all the functions is quite finicky as I experienced the app having issues connecting to the headphone sometimes. I hope that JBL fixes these connection issues with the Android App in the future.

Great sound.

H2o man October 29, 2023

I bought these about a year ago and although they have great sound the quality of plastic is really poor. They started to crack within a few months. At less than a year old they are held together with tape as the plastic is disintegrating in multiple places. I find a review on a new product a bet premature, give me something that lasts please.

Headphones Cracked and broke

NS29 July 25, 2025

While i did like the headphones overall before they broke. i had them for less than a year and cracks starting appearing within less than a month of receiving them. as i continued to use them shards of plastic began to fall out as the cracks got worse and the seam of the right earphone split. the headphones also had trouble detecting if i was wearing them or not and so the hear through and noise cancelling would switch on and off at random. not long before they fully broke the audio would also crackle and pop when in use. i never dropped these headphones, the damage was caused simply by wearing them. a friend of mine has similar headphones and theirs also has cracks in the same places mine did, albeit not as many and theirs haven't fallen apart (yet). im very disappointed in this product, it was a very good pair of headphones but its not worth it if they barely lasted.

Low quality product

Wins September 8, 2025

I bought this a year ago. Very disappointed. Cheap plastic and the inner cushion lining is coming apart in bits. Haven't used it much. The plastic is so cheap that it is disintegrating bit by bit. A reputed brand producing such low quality products is a shame. I have used other brand headphones, which are durable and long lasting.
