ORIGINAL PURCHASE WAS DEFECTIVE RETURNED AND REORDERED SAME ITEM HAD ONE IN THE PAST THAT I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH AND THOSE OF US WHO STILL HAVE CDs PURCHASED FACTOR WAS ITEM HAD 3 CD PLAYERS AND NOT 1 OR 2 LIKE OTHER BRANDS AND IT SOUND GOOD
We bought this unit mainly for the multi-CD changer, but also for the Bluetooth in case we want to transmit from our phones. Both work great! We also wanted a compact all-in-one unit, so we can play records and tapes if we wish (we have both) and it seems such units are fading out of production generally, so we are very glad Jensen still makes one! The only minuses so far are 1) The speakers are only rated 5W RMS (it says so on the back of each speaker), so this unit will not blow the walls down, but we have a small space and are happy with that. 2) The speakers require using bass boost plus the "Pop" EQ setting to get a good balance between treble and bass, regardless of the type of music played.
"If you are looking for a versatile music hub, the Jensen JMC-1250 BT is an excellent choice that I personally rely on in multiple rooms of my house. The motorized 3-disc CD changer allows you to load hours of music at once, while the dual cassette decks and belt-driven 3-speed turntable (33/45/78 RPM) bring your vintage collections back to life with powerful, realistic sound. It features three-way stereo speakers and includes a 5-mode preset EQ plus an X-Bass button to fine-tune the audio to your exact preference. While it excels at physical media, it also includes Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, allowing you to stream music wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. This system stands out for its straightforward navigation—there's no need to faff with complex menus because every major function, from the digital volume control to the AM/FM tuner with 40 presets, has its own clearly labeled button for effortless daily use."
I bought this for my wife and not only does it not have good sound the radio stations do not tune in clearly. The "equalizer" is a push button with generic options like jazz, pop, etc which makes it sound worse. The volume control is also push button and you cannot just hold it down to change volume, instead you must push the button for each decimal you want to increase or decrease which is very annoying especially if you need to change the volume quickly. The remote does work okay if you are in close range facing the front of the system. There is no control lever to lift the arm of the record player to help with smooth movement. It also does nit have aux plug ends for the soeakers, instead it has old school barw wires that has to be clamped in. There is a reason they quit making them like that bc the very thin wires can break off and then you have to strip them. The most interesting and disturbing part, this system will randomly turn on with no warning. We wanted to return it but apparently we are out of the return window time frane. Would not recommend for the money.
Everything worked and sounded good except for the DISC player. It barely pickups CD's in the tray and when it does, it only plays to 2:49 and stops the disc - then just keeps skipping around and never plays another song. I am returning. Thankfully I have Wal-Mart and they will come to my house and pick it up at not additional charge.
speakers are way too low. Even when turned up all the way, you can barely hear. no bass what so ever...made more for apartment living or if you want to keep noise to a minimum. A very low minimum. the speakers just suck. Be prepared to probably needing different speakers, otherwise ok.
I bought this stereo for my boyfriend for his birthday. One of the speaker connectors was bad, neither speaker would work when connected throgh that connector. We returned it and I ordered the exact same one. The new one seemed to work just fine. He didn't use it for a month or so and suddenly, neither speaker will work, just static. Its past the return window now and we are just out of luck. Its unusable. Total garbage. Jensen used to be a quality brand.
Am returning unit to manufacture for replacement. I am quite disappointed that I have to pay shipping to return it, since I have already paid shipping to get it here. Pushed 1 button per instructions to try to use Bluetooth, the unit turned off and never came back on.
Loved it until it just stopped working 3 months later. It won't even turn on. The protection policy I bought is turning into a joke. I keep trying to file a claim with Allstate and they send me expired verification links so I'm not able to set up an account to file the claim. I wish I had never purchased this nightmare. Even if you accept that they don't make things to last, the manufacture warrantee is only for 1 year, and the Walmart protection policy is making it impossible to replace it or get my money back.
I received the system with a broken turntable arm on the record player leaving the player useless.I've tried to contact the number given in the box on the instruction card and it just rings and rings and rings during their business hours. So i'm unable to request a new arm or a new system through them.
