Was looking at the plastic utensils, as my elderly mom has started putting silverware into the trash. Needed something strong and more the size of regular utensils, so when I found these, they looked to fit the need and not much more, even less than some plastic sets. It turns out it is the answer to that need... Mom uses them just fine, and I don't have the aggravation of having to dig thru her tras for an errant piece of silverware! Sturdy product and great value. Texture wasn't like I expected compared to other bamboo utensils I've used. This was softer and more like balsam wood and felt a little weird on tongue

Loved the eco-friendly approach, the durability and reusability. However, the spoons flatten after one use with liquids and the texture of the utensils is a bit abrasive.
