This definitely is a top of the line hair dye. Sally' s doesn't even compare nor any other brand sold in the stores. The foam type is terrific and stays on your head along with the conditioner that makes your hair incredibly soft and wears a super long time. Lasts the longest between touch ups needed.

This is my favorite hair color to use . It's a foam like a mousse so it isn't messy and a little goes a long way . I have thick hair past my tail bone and I used 2 boxes and was fully saturated. The color came out very nice. I got cool espresso level 4. I use the brilliant brunette midnight shampoo and conditioner and it lasts so long and is so shiny and healthy looking .

This boxed hair color has a foam texture, not cream or gel like other brands. It seems to be a more generous amount of coverage too (I usually use two boxes to color my hair, but I might have been able to get away with one box of the John Freida). The color looks beautiful. Very rich and shiny. There is a learning curve to the application though, since it is a different formula and method than the usual.

This foam hair dye is amazing.I have a good bit of Gray hair even in my 30s, and it covers it all well.It stays dark and lasts for a very long time. It is not messy. I love it, so you gotta try it!!

This hair dye is great. I had been using loreal feria many years. I tried this John Freida in espresso brown. The foam is fantastic! No mess . No dripping .!! Wow! Covers my few gray hairs without trouble. Hair felt healthier and was shinier after using this and the conditioner and gloss that it comes with. Good gloves also inside. I will buy this kind again next time. I was very happy I tried it.

This is the best hair dye they have it works great stays on well till the hair grows out makes my hair feel good and doesn't bother my scalp

Liked it but got the wrong color. It comes w/ the gloves and the color sticks well. Worth the price you pay for. Quick fix for me.

Good for color on regular hair and easy application, but bad gray coverage. Washes out within 2 washes for grays, even if have it on longer or a start at the roots.

Love the color but the application was a complete mess. The foam dropped EVERYWHERE during the 20 min wait. And then my hair didn't get color all the way to my roots? It looks like I dyed it a couple weeks ago not a couple days. The color came out true to the box. Took out some of the red tone in my hair from a previous dye job. But this foam is too messy for home. Won't do again sadly because I loved the color
