[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the Brilliant Brunette shampoo, it's an ideal product and I love that it's tailored to Brunettes and coloured hair. I like the smell of the shampoo as well, it rinsed out nicely and left my hair feeling nice and smooth. Definitely works best with the conditioner and I would recommend this product to a friend.

this shampoo is really great makes my hair feel thicker dont even need conditoner sometimes one of the best shampoos i have ever tried out there so if you want your hair to feel soft and shiny and have body then go and buy it you wont be sorry!!!!!!!!!

I like this shampoo because it brings out my highlights that have some red in them. It smells great and not overwhelming.

I have bought this shampoo but I am worried about using it because I don't know if it will have an effect on my hair colour. My hair is a dark ginger, with brown underneath, but with blond natural highlights. Will this shampoo have an effect on my lighter hair tones?

Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda has been formulated for my natural brunette hair. I like the shampoo and conditioner producta because they show all of my natural colors, while adding softness and shine.

They changed the contents of the brilliant midnight. There is no longer any coloring for your hair, they didn't put a NEW FORMULA WAY sign on it. They just put a a note on the back of the product. It was misleading. I expected it to be the same. I'll not buy John Frida‘s product again.

I was very disappointed in this product. I have been buying this particular John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner for a few years now, but within the store itself. Buying on-line is not recommended. The Shampoo, as well as the Conditioner - BOTH purchased on-line - were very light in color, watery and didn't lather or rinse well at all. Huge disappointment, esp for the price I paid

I have been purchasing this line for almost a decade. A while ago (a few years ago I think) they changed the formula & scent. It is no where near as good as the original. They also wont admit to changing it which is such a deceptive business practice. I've purchased this a few times since the update, hoping that they'd go back to the original with all the negative reviews on the new formula. But they have not, sadly I wont be purchasing any John Frieda products anymore due to my experience since the change. It is also very expensive for what is now a very generic & unimpressive drugstore product. The new scent is also cheap & headache inducing.
