This is a beautiful set!! It is EVERYTHING the ad said it was! I was worried that it would look like a forty something gift, NOT SO, this looked like it cost so much more. You will proud to give or own this Backgammon set. I would highly recommend this as a gift or a set for yourself. Every thing packs right back into the attaché for safe keeping. Buy this one, you'll do yourself proud.

I bought this as a Christmas present so Im not sure how it will stand up over repeated use, however going by the look and feel, I have no doubt it will last a long time as it seems durable and made very well. I can hardly wait til the recipient opens it. Highly recommend

I wanted to get a nice backgammon set for my husband for Yule, and after looking at several sets together we decided on this one. It was definitely at the lower end of the price spectrum, and I wasn't expecting anything too spectacular. I was surprised when opening it to see that it is just BEAUTIFUL!!! Don't let the low cost fool you. This is absolutely a quality product. The wood is beautiful to be sure, but so is the quality of the craftsmanship. It is beautifully finished and will be just wonderful to play with

Well, this product turned out to be larger than I expected. I did pull out a measuring tape and I tried to visualize the size of the game. It is a very nice game, but I would recommend the same game in the smaller size.

I'm glad that I bought this on sale. Even so, I considered returning it. I would consider this set just minimally adequate. It is very cheaply constructed and does not look like it would hold up to much use, The flimsy latches look,like they will be the first to go. The leatherette game points are sewn down to the felt in such a way that they are not that smooth for the game pieces to glide over and it seems like that will get worse in time. I know "they don't make them like the use to" but thy should. I had a very inexpensive set bought years ago (think one of my kids still has it) and it blows this one away in terms of materials, design and workmanship. I should have looked harder and spent a little more, but it was a rainy week and we wanted something to do, so we settle on this otherwise unacceptable set. Also FYI it's huge! I should have paid closer attention to the size. Most folks would not want one this big. The board opens to what seems like an unnecessarily large size for household play and the playing pieces look and feel massive.

Poor construction the triangles weren't sewn down properly most so poorly the chips can't slide over them. Seemed like a deal, but worth the extra $ to get a better board. But technically it was usable and complete, hence the second star.

It is very poor quality latch was off case when delivered outer material had bad fit. I wish someone would have told me what poor quality this item was overall.

Board is not symmetric. Handle fell off on day 2 the exterior is bad..
