Jordan Manufacturing 8' Red Solid Octagon Folding Offset Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Crank Opening

I was hesitant to purchase this as it almost seemed like too good of a deal compared to other offset umbrellas, but I'm a cheapskate, so I went for it. I am so happy I did. It is large and substantial, and all the moving parts work well. The assembly is minor but figuring out the directions was a bit tough for this first-timer; working with another person, I got it up in about 30 minutes. Two tips: First, you have to raise the height on the arm all the way before opening the umbrella, and after that you can lower it again to tilt the umbrella. Second, BUY the separate offset umbrella base to anchor this thing down!

It's going to be great once the base gets here soon. The umbrella is HUGE and covers a wide area and I like the fact that I can swivel the umbrella without moving the base. I wanted a different color, but the other colors were out of my price range. I recommend this to anyone with too much sun on their patio.

first time on this product....beautiful when open, compact when closed. Visual print instructions and difficult to understand, would be helpful to have written instructions on operation as well as pictures. So far, so good

4th patio umbrella I have owned. Others were in the $500 to $900 price range. The Jordan product is not as heavy duty construction however more than adequate for it's purpose and let's face facts any patio umbrella get's "tired looking" after a few years of weather & at $85 cost the Jordan product can be replaced every couple of summers to keep the patio area looking sharp. GREAT BUY

Umbrella was very easy to assemble. The stand needs substantial weight on it. We used 300lbs of paver blocks. The box is very flimsy and the first one sent to us UPS destroyed it. Looks and functions just as nice as similar offset umbrellas 3X the price at the big home centers.

Easy to put together but do it in the spot where the umbrella will stay (awkward to move after it's put together). Don't get the "natural" color, it's basically white and it doesn't block as much sun as it should. The material is thin nylon, hope it lasts. You may need a taller person to crank it all the way open. I'm 5'1" and it was a stretch to get it all the way up.

Product was what was ordered; however, there wer NO printed instructions--only pictures. If someone was mechanically challenged, this could have been a problem

I was happy with the color choice 1st. and the price last. However, the plastic reel that winds the umbrella up. Is not made of metal. Which concerns me far as durability. Some other parts that should be made with metal hardware. Is that of all plastic. Which I feel personally. The umbrella will not with-stand years of use. Compared to others umbrellas on the market. With that said, Walmart could afford. To come down on the price by $30. The value of this umbrella to me. Would be worth spending $70. These are all my personally honest opinions on this product As to be helpful to the public in aiding with their purchase choice.

Got this seems to be well made. My one thing it tips over so I have had to brace it down. With sand bags. We have it to cover part of are pool in the Texas heat it seems to be doing good. Only have had it up a few weeks. So far so good.

The product came incomplete and looked like used. I called in for a replacement or the missing part. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and helpful. I'm waiting for another one to arrive, so I don't know how it will be like. The color I ordered originally was out of stuck so I had to get whatever color they had in stuck. Long story short, I'm disappointed yet hopeful that the ending will be a good one:-)
