What a great game to play with family and friends. The Just One Party Game really makes you think, have fun with giving clues and is suitable for ages 8+ and up. I had a blast playing with my family as we are very competitive and enjoy game night at our home. I can't wait to bring the game to my friends house this weekend for dinner and a fun, active ,enjoyable evening.
This review is for the Just One Party Game. The basis of this game is to find as many mystery words as you can. It is really a pretty fun game. It is for 3 to 7 players and it is for ages 8 and up. It has 550 words to guess and make others guess. This is how you play. One of the players draws a card and without looking at it and they randomly chooses a number from 1 to 5. Then you secretly write a clue on your easel thing and then compare yours and take out any identical clues. Show the remaining words to the player so that they can guess what the mystery word is. My son is 11 and he had a lot of fun. My husband and I enjoyed it too. We are sick of playing the same old games over and over again so it was nice having something new to play together this week. I do recommend this game, it is a good thinking game and is great for building kids little brains. This will be fun to play on Thanksgiving with the family or just on any normal game night.
This is a really cool game w/lots of fun.. Its sort of like another really popular game thats been out for a while but this one has a twist to it.. Looking forward to getting a group of people together (once everything settles down) to have lots of fun with this game..
Took this game on an overnight camping stay and it was a big hit. Had 8 people playing and everyone loved it. We played it for hours. A couple of people asked me where I got it so they could buy it. Definitely recommend having it in your game collection. It's really fun.
I love that this game can be fun for anyone who can read. Very inclusive party game that takes less than a minute to learn. Everyone from the 6 year-old to the grandparents can play. Some markers and boards don't erase as cleanly as others, so there's some inconsistency in quality. Overall excellent value for a fun party game.
One of the best cooperative party games out there. The only downside is that it only comes with a limited amount of cards...but really you can just use a random word generator if you really needed to. There's a ton of fun in this little box and the component quality is pretty good. You'll need replacement dry erase markers eventually, but if you get to that point, you've certainly gotten more than your money's worth. The game is incredibly easy to teach and given it's cooperative, there won't be any broken homes, divorces, or domestic incidents that certain monopolistic games often lead to. Nobody's going to have to bring in the CSI crew to figure out what happened after dinner. For similar word games, take a look at So Clover. For something a little different, check out A Fake Artist Goes to New York or Telestrations, and for a classic option, Wits and Wagers will always be a good time.
If you like word games, this is a good one to keep around for a quick before dinner game. I cant imagine playing it for very long periods of time and honestly, after reading the directions thought it would get boring fast. My kids ended up playing for about an hour before calling it quits. They also stopped keeping track of points and just took turns. However, they were laughing and carrying on having a good 'ol time. The directions are easy to follow, and the overall game is simple. Like I said, I don't think you would play for extended periods of time but as a quick game to kill some time, it's perfect. Ideally it is for 4 or more players but there are adjusted directions if you only have 3. And on the other side, if you have more people than dry erase boards, a paper and pencil work fine too for the extra players.
This game looks like it's going to be a lot of fun playing. I cannot wait until the holidays and we all get together so that we can play it. I just have to make sure that no one tries to cheat, because every family has at least one person that will try to beat everyone playing the game.
It took us a very long time to understand this game. I played this game with my 16-year-old, 13-year-old, and a friend. We went through directions and started to play the game together. It was fun but I wouldn't say it was a lots of fun. It was a strange game and it kind a got boring after a few times.
I don't think this games is complicated enough to warrant a purchase. As kids, we played this game, taking turns choosing the main word and then turning an egg timer we had in a Boggle game. While this set is fun and colorful and has a lot of ideas that we may not consider, for us, it's pretty basic, so we feel it doesn't require a purchase when you can just come up with making it yourself.
