My Dyson's battery was dead after just 2 years, and it costs $150 for a new battery. So I've decided to purchase a bag vacuum that's corded instead. The suction is so much more powerful than my cordless Dyson. Even if it's not as convenient as a cordless vacuum, the pros far outweigh the cons in this case.
I love this vacuum!!! . I have had neck bone fusion surgery %26 The side effects from the surgery have caused my arms not to have much strength. This vacuum makes the job much easier for me. Because it is lightweight , easy to move around and use the attachments and it has good suction.
Have always had uprights, this is 1st canister vacuum for me. Purchased because I have lots of flooring %26 area rugs. So far am pleased - works well on flooring %26 great on area rugs. Advantages are: controllable vacuum heights; controllable suction (good suction); easily snaps together; much lighter than an upright; long /retractable cord; onboard tools; extendable to 9' reach; can get under furniture a lot easier. Maybe just a little more challenging to store properly than upright - but no big deal. If you are looking for a more efficient vacuum for dusting; if you have lots of flooring; area rugs; great for more delicate wool rugs as well; nice quality; a great buy at a really reasonable price. If you have wall to wall carpeting you might prefer upright. I'm happy with this vacuum %26 recommend for special as noted above.
This my 2nd Kenmore Canister Vacuum. My first one last almost 20 years. A few years ago we started using upright vacuums with a removable dust bin because of our dogs. They don't get under furniture like a canister so I bought another Kenmore Canister! It's blue like my first one. I love the powered head for getting up hair off of furniture and under furniture and beds!
This is a very powerful vacuum and I like having all the accessories on the canister. The draw backs are the canister is quite large and heavy and the powerful brush is heavy to use. Overall all I like the vacuum but need to note how heavy it is to carry.
I've owned and operated my own cleaning company since 2007, so I've used a wide range of vacuums over the years. The Kenmore bagged canister vacuum continues to be my go-to. I prefer the pull-behind canister style because it's easier to maneuver around furniture and tight spaces, and it's also easier on your body since you're not carrying the full weight of the vacuum. It also features an agitator brush, which gives it stronger performance on carpets compared to many other vacuums I've used.
I like the power setting options, the carpet pile height options and the brush attachments for cleaning sofas and chairs and the porcelain floor. The canister part is heavy and requires some effort to move around when cleaning large areas of porcelain floor. The big rear wheels on the canister help when maneuvering the vacuum across large areas of floor and do not scratch the porcelain floor. The brush attachment for floor cleaning does not scratch the floor.
Unfortunately this vacuum not what was expected. We expected that it would be much closer to the old Kenmore that was lost during Helene. this one was much harder to handle under power, the brush "bar" was much more aggressive, and was not what we were looking for (the older Kenmore had a beater bar). Kudos to both Walmart and the seller for an easy and quick return. We continue to look for a vacuum......
The vacuum works fine but the hose to the vacuum is too short so I am constantly getting hit in the legs with the canister. Otherwise the vacuum works fine. However, I wish it also had a broom attachment since the head set to xlo still is not that same as a brush.
Worst vacuum 2 months of use and a parts of the product fell! I will have to purchase the part of fell of to continue use!
