Quick delivery, no tools assembly, sleek classy color/design, great value too. This rod will replace unnecessary doors in places where a rod and door-jam "curtains" are safer for one who must now wear a Rugby helmet (soft shell head/brain protection) due to falls as a result of MS. When I must be in a wheelchair, these rods, and fabric, purchased from Walmart are literally a life saver. It is how I keep things disability accessible. A thought for those who are trying to make a space safer for anyone prone to preventable injury as it pertains to unforgiving, heavy doors and hardware that is often jetting out waiting for its next victim (lol). Think of aging parents or a grandparent(s). The results are gorgeous and inviting v. a boring door.
I was worried it would be difficult to use from the negative reviews, but I didn't have any trouble loosening/tightening it, and it installed easily. One of the reasons I bought this kind is that the end caps are very cute, and they have a nice matte finish in-person. One thing of note is to make sure your curtain header, however it attaches, has enough leeway to fit around the end caps (1.06" in diameter according to product images) since they don't seem to be removable.
I bought 4 tension rods. The first 2 that I tried to extend did not work and I thought I was going to have to return them. The 3rd one finally extended as needed and the 4th was easy. I went back at the first 2 and one required a pair of pliers to help me pull it out and the final one just required more effort. Now they are up and doing the job.
Bought 2 to try and block cold from the basement to the upstairs. Good thing I read the one review that warned to buy 2. Same as that person, 1 of them was perfect while the other would NOT extend. I tried everything and managed to damage it altogether. The unscrew mechanism inside must be crossthreaded or something. Otherwise the quality is good, it feels good in the hand and worked for what I needed .
This took two people and two and a half hours to assemble. The instructions weren’t even remotely clear. It’s very wonky and cheaply made. If we didn’t figure it out I was absolutely going to return it. I will not be buying anything else from this brand or recommending it to anyone to purchase. Not to mention, I had 2 day delivery for this and it took 10 days instead. Walmart should take more pride in their third party sellers. Shameful but not out of character for Walmart.
The rod is supposed to expand to fit the window. I ordered two and couldn't get either one to budge. Evidently there is no manufacturing quality control. Will be sending these back.
It will not extend, so it is 12 too short and unusable. It was supposed to be a tension rod that extends from 24" to 48" but will not move even an inch.
confusing design. no instructions. couldn't figure out. not intuitive. should have been so simple. frustrating. I had to buy a different one that looked just as good but was easier to work. there's nothing to recommend this curtain rod.
Can't twist it and extend it. Done everything in my power to make it work. Going to be asking a friend to see if they can do it. Doesn't take a rocket scientist I know that I looked at the directions and follow them.
Item, tension curtain rod did not extend or contract. It is stuck in place. Packaging didn't appear to be damaged., or that mishandling caused the problem.
