Kidde Multipurpose Fire Extinguisher for Home, Residential 3A40BC

Not all fire extinguisher are the same. This model 3A:40BC covers just about all possible fire scenario's including combustibles, flammable liquids and electrical with extra pressure and an extendable hose. While I hope I never need it, i'm glad to have it just in case. The two pack was an exceptional price point and well worth the purchase. It was shipped quickly and arrived perfect. I purchased my first extinguisher exactly a year ago that I ended up using the other day. I had a very dangerous situation when I was burning wood. I was using a steel gasoline tank pretty much dumping gas into a fire. I was so stupid with the decision I was doing, but I was so stressed out, an tired that I wasn't thinking clear. Eventually the fire race up the stream to the tank. The tank was completely on fire to the point the gas also leaked on my legs. My right leg was on fire! my whole leg was burning, but thankfully I have a water brook next to the place where I was burning wood next to my land that I as fast as I could jumped off the cliff, and went down the hill into the water. By the time I got out my leg was completely burnt, and was hurting bad that I had to ignore it to take care of the steel gasoline tank that was on fire, also my land. At first I went to my shed to get a bucket, and I went to the brook to fill it up. By the time I dumped this on the fire it made everything worse! then, I remembered, I had this fire extinguisher inside my house, so I ran as fast as I possible could, and by the time I got back the gasoline tank was still on fire, and a bunch of my land. This extinguisher took everything out within a few seconds!!!! I am so grateful that I had this extinguisher because if i didn't this would or been a extremely worse situation, especially when everything was next to my house and shed. My steel gasoline tank thankfully did not blow up after minutes on fire. This extinguisher saved everything. I believe this saved my house because if the tank did blow up, i wore the lost everything. I am so thankful for this extinguisher that I purchased a couple more within a few hours after this situation. I extremely highly recommend getting this for all emergency situations!!!!! it is a hundred percent worth the money!!

Awesome price. Must have. Easy to use. Bought to replace a previous one that we had to use. The only negative is one had a quality control issue, the pin that held the handle on (the pivot point) was too short and fell out during shipping. We used an old cotter pin to rig it vs returning them. Other than that, I'll buy again if we have to use these.

I have that brand, Kidde, in my smaller fire extinguishers, and I was told I needed the %235 , so I tried Walmart and found that you carried that brand. Glad you had it and came quickly.

Prompt, next day, delivery of the fire extinguishers. They were EXACTLY what i needed. put two in my home and one in each vehicle. Never know when they might be needed at home or in traveling.

As a former fire chief, you need multiple fire extinguishers in your home. A fire blanket in the kitchen, along with an extinguisher will handle most fires. Never put water on an oil (stove) fire - use the blanket. Another extinguisher at every exit and near your wood burning stove. This is a good quality ABC (multiple types of fires) and is a good value. Along with fire/smoke detectors you may get an insurance discount. Remember if the fire is of any size have someone call the fire department immediately. Be careful as fire dramatically increases in size every minute!

There is no date stamp to show how new it is. I'm going to need to show the receipt to the fire inspector and hopefully he will trust me. The welds around the top stem seemed kind of rough and I suspect the paint will start peeling there sooner or later

Not to be too picky but it's somewhat deceiving in the description to figure out whether the warranty is 6 or 12 years. This model is 6 years which is fine. The gauge is almost to the empty mark brand new so that's a little concerning and makes me wonder if it'll make it to 6 years. See photo.

Item was damaged and unusable when I removed it from the box, handle was not attached making it unusable. All online irders should be quality checked for probls before delivery. Walmart Gibsonton Does Not answer their phone, ever! Had to call Corporate for resolution.

The dates in there are not current so when you buy them they expire in 1/2 the time. The dates on all fire extinguishers should be current. Totally frustrated… so having a service come out and do the fire extinguishers at my business made more sense because it was cheaper, better maintained and up to date.
