This stuff works wonders. My husband told me about it years ago. He was a paint specialist. I had some mold spots on a ceiling. I tried clearing it with no success. I remembered and checked on Walmart site and bought it. My son sprayed it and it looks like it never appeared at all. Matched and blended perfect. If you have any kind of spots or imperfections this will cover.
We always keep this on hand! It's the perfect primer and it's even so nice that we have used it as the main paint as well! We refinished all of our furniture and use this on everything!
Worked great on ceiling, sprayed lightly to cover up soot marks from candle. Just be careful to cover everything under neath as it goes everywhere. Works to redo cruddy, freshly cleaned air vents and no need to paint also. I used outside on stucco area painters “missed” due to large plant. Plant was removed and kilz was a perfect match to make it right. Try this before painting
This primer/paint ,lucky for me, marches my ceiling paint perfectly! I don’t know much about oil based or water based paint, but this Kilz covered very nicely my water based paint . My roof leaked and stained my ceiling- generally in this situation you would have to dry and seal the stain with something before you paint the area, or maybe the whole ceiling! I just sprayed on the Kilz and you would never know about the stain.
What can you say about Kilz. I work for a school district. It covers what you want to cover. I bough these to touch up my garage shop. When things start to get ugly from grease and stuff i simply degrease and touch up. Keep in mind my guys I am not building cars lol so it has its limits. I stick with the water based but if you REALLY want to cover and forget then buy the black can, its oil based. Not as easy to deal with however is you are using water based paints over the oil base. That's a bit of a nono but people do it and it lasts if you prep right. Also sticks perfectly to so many materials.
I love to use Kilz in the corners of my home to ensure the mold I had washed away does not come through the paint. It works great, but you may need to apply it twice for good luck.
This worked where nothing else would. We are very pleased with everything.
The jury is still out on this product. It covered the old water stains very nicely, but I have new water stains and I don't know if they are really new or if they are old ones that I didn't notice before I painted over the area.
High hide primer . Odor not overbearing . I had to spray overhead and overspray was horrible in bathroom . ( maybe I used wrong technique ).
Says interior but has a strong odor. Dried very fast but odor is still lingering after painting a small area 1 week ago. Very hard to spread. Tried using brush and paint pad. Wear Gloves!!! Could not get it off of brush, paint pad or paint pan. Definitely blocked what I was trying to but ruined the tools I was using and took 4 days to get it off of my hands.
