Almost didn't purchase
I saw a couple of reviews about poor workmanship in the customer reviews for this item and then figured, for $4.00, I'll take a chance. The workmanship on the one I received was excellent. I am very pleased with this purchase

Soaks up he excess!
Great for my unconventional use- I set it under my small 6 cup rice cooker. Some times it boils over if I add too much liquid. This catches and absorbs those sticky drips and it is easily hand or machine washable. A good counter protector.

love it
I have bought other microfiber mats and my biggest complaint is that after a while - the lighter colors become stained even with washing them. Black is the perfect color. I hated using the drainboard and rack and I just love the microfiber mats. Definitely recommend it.

Okay
I ordered this online to complete the $50 minimum for free shipping. The material is fine, but the stitching on the edges is poorly made. One of the corners was slightly open with threads and fabric coming out. Return it would have been too much hassle for less than $3, just kept it.
