The square pads are nice and thick and keep the heat from your hands. The same with the mitten pads plus they extend further up your arm than any others I've had, giving an extra couple of inches of protection from heat while baking. I'm not absolutely crazy about the color. It would look much better with a kitchen scene pattern perhaps, but I don't display them, so they look just fine in my drawer. I haven't washed them yet so I'll give no opinion on cleaning, but the material feels like it would be easy work to wash off any food that you may get on it.

These are basic cooking necessities. They do the job, are very functional, and a pretty blue color. Just what we needed for baking cookies! No burns, and machine washable too.

I was looking for the traditional potholder. Didn't want the rubber. Didn't want the one which looks like a puppet. Just a solid well made one. This definitely fit the bill. Very pleased with the product.
