I already had one and bought this one for my son for Christmas. I use this frequently. Small and easy to store. Easier than dragging out the larger food processor. Recommend hand washing the lid as water will collect inside the lid if you run it through the dishwasher.! Other than that issue, I love this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stick blender is amazing for pureeing foods quickly, easily, and dependably while needing very little clean-up effort. It's perfect for small batches of baby food without having to use the food processor and have a large clean-up job. As an added bonus, the whipping and chopping attachments make omelettes a BREEZE! I've seen some reviews where people say the wand attachment doesn't stay in place, but I honestly think they may not be giving that final, firm twist to lock it in place before turning the stick blender on. It requires a firm twist to lock, which is reassuring that it is attached well. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one sooner!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a model I purchased at the drug store. The difference is like night and day. The Kitchenaid Hand Blender perfectly pureed a large pot of potato soup. I'm very happy with my decision to upgrade my immersion blender.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the fact that you can depend on KitchenAid appliances. I have use this to help make my white sauces to make salsa and to make beautiful glaze frosting is for my cakes. My only regret is that I didn't get the five speed blender but that's what Christmas is for. I cannot wait to get this to my girlfriends daughter to enjoy for many years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always liked KitchenAid products and am so pleased with my 3-speed Hand Blender by KitchenAid! I purchased it about 1 month ago and find myself using it much more than I thought I would. We make hot sauce fairly often and this is absolutely the best tool to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this usually for smoothies and soups. The only thing that I would add is that one needs to make sure that even if not submerging to clean which should not be done, to not even spray or get any amount of water on thee chopper attachment. the water can/will get trapped in it and is difficult to get it out. Surface cleaning is probably best to do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago. I have used it a couple of times since then but bought it because other KitchenAid items I own are very dependable.
change the picture so people dont think its the one in the picture. im not happy about that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most things in the US are "righty tighty, lefty loosey" but the attachments to this device tighten in reverse of that. Why? Most motors can have their direction of turn reversed by swapping the electrical leads so if theses attachments tighten to the left because of the native direction of the motor, there's not that much circuitry involved to reverse motor spin direction. So think again! The speed numbers are printed in a black Helvetica font on a shiny gray background more or less on top of the dial. When I stand with the blender in one hand and the bowl in the other, the top of the blender is at or above my eye level. I need to lower and tilt it to confirm the selected speed. There is LOTS of room on that top cap: what about printing the numbers to extend down around the sides, about 4x larger, and in a color of high contrast to the background. Baby boomers are turning to age 60 at more than 10,000 each day in the U.S. Think about it! So yes it blends it slices and it dices but so do a number of other brands.
the item pictured is NOT what I received.
