This gait belts allows me to help my husband with some exercises here at home. He is recovering from stroke and this is helping me to assist him with as much as I can where balance is concerned.

I've had this belt 28 days. I really like the handles and it makes it easier to pick my 90 year up. But after only 28 days, you can see by the pix that it is pulling ( fraying) apart from the seams on both ends by the buckle. This isn't where the tension is either, so that's why it's sad that it has come out of the seam. My 90 year old mom, which is whom I am using it on, only weighs 113 pounds. So it didn't pull out due to too much load, it just didn't get caught in the seam well. Will it last much longer, will a new one do the same? I want to try a new one but I can't contact the seller to explain, so I'd have to order a new one and return this one after I receive the other one, cause it truly is easier to use than a regular, no handle, gate belt. To make matters worse, I live 40 minutes from the closest Walmart and caregiving two sick parents, it's a bit far to go while leaving them home alone.
