KL Studio Classics - Red Dragon [ULTRA HD]

This 4k presents Red Dragon in pristine condition and features a ton of special features about the making of the film! As for the film itself, Red Dragon takes place before The Silence of the Lambs and tells the story of ex-FBI agent Will Graham being brought in to assist in a gruesome investigation and of course needing help from the enigmatic Hannibal Lecter. The film has a star studded cast and is very much a crime thriller with horror elements throughout. What is important to understand here is that the villain of the film is the “Red Dragon” and so while Lecter is in the film for roughly 25 minutes, he never becomes the full threat - though he certainly plays a crucial hand in orchestrating the trouble that Graham faces. I only write that to say, don't expect a deep dive into Hannibal, he is vital to the events of the film but this is by no means a film about him. As it is titled the film centers on the “Red Dragon” played by Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), and with this understanding you should be able to greatly appreciate the film for what it is… a fantastic crime thriller featuring an amazing cast delivering compelling characters with dense mythology and world building.

Red dragon 4 k blue ray is a good movie kino lorber did a great job on it sharp pretty clean and detailed a little bit too much grain at times but nothing bad Dolby vision on the disc is well done nice saturation of colors while still looking natural overall excellent transfer and superb audio definitely recommend this disc.
