I use this to clean my brushes after applying polyurethane to my project. It was very easy to get the brushes Clean. I have used other brands before, and sometimes it is hard to actually get all the paint from the brush, this brand of paint thinner has been the best I have used to date.

I received this Klean Strip Paint Thinner as a Spark Reviewer in exchange for an honest review. This really did work great! It's important that you pay attention to what it works on. It is NOT for water based products or lacquer, etc.. If you have something that falls into their specific parameters, I'm sure you'll be pleased with how well & how quickly this works. I literally just dunked my brush to the bottom of the container I used containing this paint thinner and instantly the stain released(hence the darkness of the liquid). I used this to remove a dark walnut stain that was not water based. I can use it again & again until I get my project completed before properly disposing of the container & liquid.

I've used many paint thinners over the years and typically their all kind of the same and do the same things. The Klean Strip brand is a brand that I've purchased and used multiple times over the years and I still have a quart jug left downstairs from my last project. Seems to have no problems breaking down old latex, enamel, varnish, lacquers or getting stain out of brushes or for cleaning up spills and mistakes. I recommend this brand and have only had good results from it. Now that I have this gallon jug I probably will be good on paint thinner for the next decade. They do sell less hazardous versions of this but the original kind is the only one I have experience using.

As an artist and art professor, I use paint thinner to clean my brushes to extend the use. This paint thinner product effectively strips away paint to leave a clean brush. Works great on oil based paints and varnishes. It does have an odor that I would advise from experience to turn on an exhaust fan to prevent the smell from becoming overpowering. Use proper ventilation!!! Because thinner is a less refined solvent, it will have more odor. Sometimes I my use a bit of thinner to “thin” my paints, but it's best to add medium and use thinner for all your cleanup jobs. Dispose of properly as it can be flammable and the residue is not meant to go down a drain. Easy to use - pour into an empty vegetable can and sip brush slightly stirring to loosen the paint particles. Store away from heat. Effectively cleans my art brushes to keep the bristols softer and functional longer.

I keep this on hand. It really comes in handy.
