Highly Effective Wall Cleaner
★★★★★ This Clean-Strip TSP substitute works really well for cleaning residue on walls. It's very effective at cutting through grime and buildup, and it made a noticeable difference quickly. It seems strong enough that it could even remove smoke residue and smell from walls to a high extent. Overall, highly recommended for deep cleaning jobs.

Effective alternative to paint thinner
This solvent has no unpleasant odor and cleans the brushes well. When using a tough paint or poly with an oil base you need to soak your brush over night for best results. Then take a rag and finish cleaning .

I was looking for paint thinner or mineral spirits and simple green came up. I did not need cleaner, so this could be advertised differently to be a better description.

Don't use on Latex Stained Wood Decks!
Label says it can be used to clean wood, but not raw wood. So I thought it would be OK to clean our deck that had several layers of latex stain that I have cleaned with the REAL TSP before (because real TSP doesn't hurt latex paint). However, this TSP SUBSTITUTE turned the old latex stain so gummy, that I cannot re-stain until I strip all of it off. I followed directions and thoroughly rinsed it off. All I wanted to do was WASH the deck before re-staining, now I have to strip it completely.
