I love these Protein Balls. After following the recipe on the box, I altered the ingredients a bit as they were too dry for my taste. I increased the Peanut Butter to: 1 cup of crunchy peanut butter %26 1 cup of smooth peanut butter. I use Agavé Syrup as my sweetening liquid %26 I increased the amount of syrup to: 2/3 cup Agavé Syrup w/ 1 Tbsp water. Using the above amounts of Peanut Butter, Agavé Syrup %26 water mixed w//the boxed ingredients yields approximately: ~40 Protein Balls (about 1.5” in diameter) ~113 kcal/Ball ~ 4.3g Protein/Ball. Hence, I can eat ~4 Kodiak Protein Balls(per my recipe), %26 consume ~17g of Protein %26 450 kcal. Can't promise you'll love them but I sure like them, as a high protein snack w/out too many kcal .
These are great and taste so good with the peanut butter we add a little extra 😝good score on the Yuka app I think the snickerdoodle one scores even better .But these are perfect if you're on the go or for a quick snack at lunch .
Yummy protein! A hack I did was make 40 smaller size balls instead of 20 larger ones. That way I could make them last longer for my big family. Using almond butter was the favorite so far.
I purchase this mix regularly and really like the product. I keep the health profile a little better for me by using Stevia-sweetened Agave instead of honey or maple syrup. I often don't have time for lunch, so I take a small container of these with me in the morning.
These make for some crazy satisfying snacks. Roll up 20 and keep them on a tray in the fridge, then grab and go. I love it if I feel like I'm hungry but don't want to eat garbage like chips - these still have sugar from the honey but otherwise the peanut butter and oats make it a much better snack for you! They are fulfilling and have a lovely texture. If you like PB oatmeal cookies you'll die for these.
My Husband absolutely loves these things! Requests them all the time! I have to keep them on hand at all times!
Was easy to make but I think it needs more peanut butter (any kind you use) and then I also added peanut butter chips go give it a little kick. Of course, I also used some protein powder as well to up it. They sit up well in the refrigerator and it says it makes two dozen, which I guess I used the some big/some small thinking and ended up with about 22 total.
It's kinda sorta like a home mixed portable protein snack. Reminds me of the”Cliff Bar”! I used almond butter. Decided to used second box with Kodiak Chocolate Chip pancake mix - in my humble opinion and experience.
I really wanted these to be good because they are portable, don't require baking, contain ingredients like peanut butter, oatmeal and chocolate, and are packed with protein. However, despite following the recipe exactly they were difficult to eat because they were dry even though they were moist enough to stay together. Biting into one of these seems to suck all of the moisture out of my mouth making it difficult to swallow without drinking something. The taste is ok but not great.
If you follow the directions on the box, the result is extremely dry balls that fall apart. The taste is delicious though.
